British world-class.
Citrus-fresh neroli leaf
lands on a feather-soft lily of the valley cushion with a cozy vanilla blanket on a moss bed.

Oh no, lily of the valley cushion. I'd rather skip that...

Yes, those were lovely English fragrances. It's a shame the brand is basically gone. CC is no substitute.

Yes, Anglia is actually a substitute for many of the Crowns. They don't always hit the mark 100%, but they come very close and are also affordable.

You get what it says on the label - an aromatic British citrus scent of the old school, starting with a zesty neroli note that transitions into a floral and herbal-woody base with a pleasantly mossy-vanilla finish. In the background, the lily of the valley lingers, bright, floral, and very soft, like a cushion of white flowers. A gently powdery cream layer can be sensed through the interplay of the flowers, vanilla, sandalwood, and maybe musk. I personally prefer the more bitter/fresh old-school scents, so the vanilla isn’t 100% my thing, even though it’s very well integrated without any sweet distractions. It gives off a bit of a Pour un Homme de Caron vibe, although much better.
Crown is actually among the best in the world when it comes to classic and quality men’s fragrances. It’s a shame they’re no longer produced. But Anglia is said to be a good substitute!
Thanks to Yatagan for the testing opportunity!
