A spectacular start, almost piercing-balsamic with a strong, photorealistic wood varnish note, beautifully intertwined with freshly cut, dry hardwood. As the scent progresses quite linearly, the sharpness becomes noticeably softer. Resin dances around the dry woods, and a very well-executed colophony note emerges. In the background, there are hints of (cedar) forest, moss, and a touch of smoke. With this successful colophony note and the fantastic woods, it convinced me extremely quickly. A truly great fragrance.
