Juicy, fruity floral
First, I just love the packaging of this. The pink and green, the label...just perfect.

This is such a pretty fruity floral. The rose note is delicately present, and the scent remains lightly aquatic like Rose Atlantic, which I also love. The fruit is very prominent--lime and juicy peach, but it doesn't feel juvenile or overdone. The impression is very lightly floral, sweet, fresh, and very juicy. This is a nice one.

I wonder if this could be love
DS and Durga is, by this point, known for their zany, high concept perfumes. Who else would make something that smells exactly like the 15 minutes after a lightning strike in New York City, the lunch rush at a high class 90s bistro, or a barbershop in the process of burning down? Some may find this sort of olfactory navel-gazing pretentious, and it is. I love it. This time they’ve gone conceptual yet again, aiming for a neon pink and pastel orange 80s Venice Beach sort of vibe. I’ve never been to California but, through cultural osmosis, I know what it’s supposed to feel like; I’ve seen Mulholland Drive, I’ve seen Sunset Boulevard, I’ve seen Greta Gerwig’s Barbie. It really works. The rose note is quickly wrapped in peach and avocado- a note I wasn’t sure about but gives the perfume a gentle creaminess without being lactonic- and i also detect a bit of a sunscreen note to this. I really enjoy this Eau d’Valley Girl.

Rose Fruity Embraced
Generally, I am a bit cautious with rose scents or even avoid them altogether. Too often I encountered the same bright Damask rose from my grandmother's sink. For some, this is exactly what they want, but for me, it's a bit too monotonous.

Here, two points convinced me to buy: 1. the exciting fragrance notes like avocado, sand, and peach. 2. the brand has impressed me so far, and especially the Bowmaker left a lasting impression as a very special scent. The Debaser also managed to secure a high place in my fig ranking.

And what can I say, I was not disappointed.
The fragrance starts with a fruity apricot that fills the room, and I wonder where the rose is in the Pacific. However, it appears over time, but very subtly and rather in the fading of the fruity dominance. The scent is rounded off by the somewhat muted avocado and the poppy, which gives the fragrance enough depth. A wonderful mix, which is slightly thrown off balance by a bit of tartness. This tartness reminds me a bit of the start of Bal d'Afrique Absolu de Parfum and is present but not disturbing. As the peach fades over time, the tartness also recedes into the background.

For a summer scent, Rose Pacific has a decent longevity, and the sillage regularly wafts the fragrance into the air. Not too much and not too little.

I am glad to have tried this scent with rose in the name. The note is part of the fragrance but does not dominate. A fruity, floral companion for any beach walk.

As a California girl, I’m happy that this is a fragrance representative of our coast. It’s rosey and fruity. Slightly powdery, but still fresh.
