A few notes short of Versace Blue Jeans
This really does remind me of a simple more bland take on Versace Blue Jeans. It's just missing a few notes such as the Vanilla and a few other notes that gives Blue Jeans this oriental and uplifting feel to it when sprayed that makes you go "ah that's so nice!" . With Classic Blue you go "ah that is nice but is missing something". It's like they didn't finish part of the creation progress or they forgot to add something to finish it off. It's like some sort of fruit and spice to give it some oomph is missing. It doesn't have to be a clone of Blue Jeans, there is no point when Blue jeans is so cheap. Classic Blue could go its own way and add something else like some plum, pepper and ginger to liven it up a bit! Those are just some notes off the top of my head, there are plenty more than that of course at their dispense to make it their own.
The prices are not that far off either. Blue Jeans has such a beautiful pleasing smell to it that imo is amazing for the prices you can find it for at RRP and on sale and if you own Classic Blue and feel the same as me where it is just short of feeling like something that could be really good and wish for it to be that then i suggest you buy Blue Jeans. You wont be dissapointed.
When talking about Blue Jeans i should add I am talking about the new fresh, lighter reformulated Blue Jeans, not the deep thick heavy original Blue Jeans some of you may remember from many years ago if you have not bought it again in recent years.
If you prefer something a little more simple than the likes of Blue Jeans then maybe this is for you. I am not saying this is a bad fragrance, it certainly is not for the price it is but i personally like a fragrance that has that uplifting zing to it that makes me go wow!
I don't get much of the notes mentioned. I wish the apple and other fruits were present because it would then give it that uplifting feel i find is missing here. For me it is more like an aquatic woody scent. When i say aquatic i don't mean it has that salty marine scent to it which you find in the likes of D&G Light Blue or Versace Man Eau Fraiche. So if you don't like those salty fragrances this would be a safe buy for you.
Longevity is actually good for such a cheap fragrance, there are designers that don't last nearly as long as this. I get 5+ hours at least out of this on skin and can smell it constantly from just a couple of sprays on arms. I always give props to a fragrance that the wearer can smell on themselves instead of only others around them as you should be allowed to enjoy the fragrance since you paid for it as much as the people you want to smell it around you can!
