Very pleasant, good P/L ratio
This is my first review here, I beg your indulgence ;-)

I had tried this fragrance several times in a drugstore, but could never really bring myself to buy it, although I always found it pleasant.

But after I saw a very good offer for the 90ml bottle in the shipping department, the EdT finally found its way into my collection.

It is a classic shower fragrance, with a floral note, which shortly after spraying comes across a little bit strongly alcoholic and heavy for my taste, but after a few minutes it is very pleasant to wear.
One smells fresh, without the scent drifting off into the overly obtrusive.

The whole thing is more suitable for spring and summer, for the darker months I usually prefer a slightly less floral fragrance.
In summer, "Classic Blue" goes for it every day, for just about every occasion in everyday life.

Sure, you realize you're not in the "50€ for 30 ml" Class moved, there's no question about it.
But I didn't want that either, although I don't feel the urge to pay such exorbitant prices just so that Johnny Depp can afford the next villa, right, "Sauvage" ;-)

Durability is very good for this price range, Sillage okay.
Sprayed on in the morning, I take it after 12 hours after being very gentle, whereby a subjective factor also plays a role here.
The bottle is mediocre, no highlight.

Ready :-)

A fresh review for the Classic Blue
I may lose a few review awards by deleting the previous review i wrote for this, but i think this classic blue fragrance deserves a "fresh" review, as i am perceiving notes that i didn't really get the last time i wore it. Maybe i will get those awards back for writing a more accurate review. Awards are not the main point of writing a review though. For me, it is about passing on an experience that we can compare with one another or let people who don't own the fragrance know whether they think it is something they will enjoy or not.

As i started to collect more expensive fragrances, i thought i wouldn't wear some of my older stuff very often. This week i have actually been going back through some of my earlier gifted or bought fragrances and realized there are days when i am sat around the house, no plans have been made to do anything that day other than having a lazy day to myself after a very busy fortnight. Today is one of those days.

Although i have a big enough collection that it wouldn't hurt to wear some of my more expensive fragrances, but i thought to myself, why bother to have this in my collection if i am not going to use it? And when better than to use it on a day like this?

I honestly get good projection from this fresh fruity fragrance. It smells pleasant, so even if i do get a surprise visit they are not going to be thinking i smell bad, in fact i own fragrances that i have spent so much more on that are more off putting and don't perform as well as David Beckham's Classic Blue. I do think i should say that this had been sat opened and had been worn a bit before being sat in that cupboard for many years so it could have an effect on how my bottle smells and its performance. If it has i can tell you that it has only done good.

In the opening, i get this lovely fruity smell that i really like. I have been buying quite a bit of fruity fragrances as of late and feel my nose can detect them better and understand them more than i used to be able to. The pineapple is not like the pineapple you get in Aventus and its clones, instead it is more of a sweet kind of pineapple especially with that apple note in the mid and the violet leaf which i can sometimes take a disliking to if i find it too strong say in the likes of Boss Bottled Unlimited (the reformulation) but here it helps with the blending of the fruits in this fragrance and rounds off any sharp edges. I get a nice soft warm woody scent in this also. It really is well blended

I used to think something was missing from this fragrance and suggested that if only it had more fruits it would smell better, but in all honesty i think i was having one of those off days we all get now and again when we have been wearing too many strong fragrances with an extrait concentration day after day and you overload your sinuses. Classic Blue actually feels complete to me today and i must say for the price if anyone else was wearing this and asked me to guess the price it wouldn't be only £15 - £20 depending on bottle size. I am not saying we have a Bleu De Chanel on our hands, but i do believe that this is the honest price of some of the fragrances we buy with similar notes to it that charge us way more than what they are worth.

When i was younger, i would see this in that cupboard that was full of other little gems by the way and pass it off as cheap junk i would never wear. I now look back at myself as a young fool that thought throwing money at something instantly made it better. Now i smell with my nose and decide if it's nice i will wear it, if it is not then i won't, and it is as simple as that. Classic Blue, is something i will wear and that is all i can say.

So let's score this little beauty its actual deserved scores.

This is from a single spray on each wrist and one on the chest, rather than overspray.

Scent: I am giving this an 8/10

Projection is a 7.5/10 Sure It's not a beast, but i can easily smell this radiating off my skin.

Bottle a 7/10 It's nice, nothing hideous that sticks out like a sore thumb in my collection.

Longevity: It was at 7/10 from my prior review but this time i am only getting a few hours out of it which i expected tbh. Changing to a 5/10 very average but like i say if you are at home the bottle is there. Otherwise, it would do fine for a quick work out or a trip to the store etc.

Value 10/10

Better than You’d expect!
In my opinion this one is quite good. Yes, it is inexpensive. Yes, it is a celeb frag. Yes, you can replace it with tons of others out there. And ,yes... DB is not really famous for frags with good longevity. BUT, the dry down of this I surprisingly warm and woody! And it actually projects for around 3-4 hours and then hangs around like a warm and mild scent for another 2-3. I am surprised and I like this one! Give it a try.

A product of its time
Fragrance, like fashion, can go out of style. The reason for this is simple - popular fragrances start being used as scents for ancillary products like soaps, cleaning products, home fragrances, etc. This is what happened to the "blue" fragrance genre.

Fierce Cologne was one of the first in this genre, and its immense popularity caused it to be copied by pretty much everyone. The peak of the "blue" scent DNA was Bleu de Chanel Eau de Toilette, released in 2010. That fragrance is one of the few that still holds up today, just because it is such a thoughtful and amazing creation.

On the other hand, the vast majority of the others are out of fashion. The Mahogany Teakwood line from Bath and Body Works pretty much sounded the death knell for this genre. There are candles that smell like it, hand soaps that smell like it, creams, car air fresheners, etc. It's played out.

Let's get back to David Beckham Classic Blue. It is not the original "blue" scent (Fierce), nor the best (Bleu de Chanel). So essentially, it is one of the many copies of Fierce that came out during the 2010s. It's not a "bad" scent but there is really no reason to buy it. Even if you want a budget friendly version of Fierce, Legend Eau de Parfum is better. David Beckham Classic Blue, even though it is less than 10 years old, is a relic and a product of its time that should just stay in the past.

Soft, moderate, light blue EDT
Look, this is maybe eau de toilete for men, but it can be surprisly soft. Because it´s EDT, its longevity is definitely weaker.
Those, who like fresh, aquatic, chypré scents will find a piece to their soul with this scent.
Yes, I am woman and I use this fragnance. If you´re surprised, read text below.
When you try it on your clothes and wait a while, it appears softly and I personally would doubt if it´s unisex or only for men. It´s not a "macho" style scent, not even very strong scent.
There can be felt something between soft, fresh, woody tones. it feels like I´m just after wash and I feel fresh and clean. And, when it goes through clothes to my skin, it´s just incredible. For that price? Nice piece!
If you´re dissapointed about longevity, try it on your clothes, you will be maybe surprised.

I recommend to everyone who does not like spicy, heavy and "macho" style.

Yes, not bad per se but quickly boring. Aquatic, metallic, fresh, concrete notes cannot be recognized

Fresh, chypre, aquatic. Kind good for EDT. After while it becomes surprisly soft. Do even ladies can try this. I'd say its unisex.
