Instinct David Beckham 2005 Eau de Toilette

I will try to avoid football wisdoms and instinct/stink jokes...
David Beckham's fragrance doesn't really convince me. At first contact, I thought, here comes Cologne water - a real hit of freshness, very nice.
But as soon as the initial scent settles and the perfume stabilizes, a subtle aroma emerges (at least in the tester) that I can't stand - I suspect it's the cardamom or the vetiver, or the combination of both. It may be well-intentioned, but in reality, a somewhat musty chlorine note comes through. And that's unfortunately it.
Admittedly, over time that fades away, and it remains a fairly fresh sports fragrance, but the development is quite clumsy.

I’ve tested it in the store before - and I didn’t think it was bad at all; I gave it 70% after all.
