Herb, floral freshness

I have long wished to be able to sniff this fragrance. My expectations were really high. The Sun Summer Edition 2020 is one of my favorite scents, and I had expected that I would like Sunrise just as much.
Unfortunately, my expectations were not met. I had imagined at least a bit of sweetness and otherwise a nice fresh summer scent. It is not sweet at all. Fresh - well, at most a bitter freshness. For me, the floral aspect dominates, although I can't say which flowers I perceive. And indeed this bitter note. A tiny bit of the sunscreen vibe seems to come through, but really only minimally.

I can imagine that many people will really like Sunrise. It is definitely a summer fragrance. It is not too overpowering, and the longevity is surprisingly good.

The Sun Rises :-)

I have been using SUN by Jil Sander for what feels like 100 years, but I could never warm up to any variations of it (like SUN Delight or similar).
I got the SUNRISE here in the souk through a swap, and it arrived yesterday. To be honest, I didn't expect much from it, and I was all the more surprised when I took the bottle out of the package and first sniffed the spray button :-) I thought only: oh how beautiful !!!!
The scent is somewhat similar to SUN, but still different. It is not quite as heavy and sweet. The floral notes are underlaid with a warm spiciness, which makes SUNRISE something truly special! I can't quite put it into words, but it definitely has something very warm, sunny, and also creamy about it, which makes me feel very comfortable.
This morning, three colleagues immediately commented that I smell good and asked what fragrance it was :-)
I find the longevity perfectly fine, and it also holds up well on clothing.
It's really a shame that it's limited - there are still a few bottles on eBay. For now, I'm just glad that my bottle is still almost full :-) SUNRISE is truly wonderful, a really great fragrance!

Too bad it's limited

Yesterday I was at the drugstore and inspected the clearance basket. Full of men's fragrances and in between two boxes in white/red, I looked at them and saw Jil Sander. Luckily, there was also a tester available.

The scent starts off a bit sharp, but after a few minutes it becomes softer and sweeter; however, the fragrance is not a sugar bomb, as it has a spicy undertone.
Sunrise Women is somehow fruity, even though no fruits are mentioned in the fragrance pyramid.

I really like the original Sun by Jil Sander on other women, but I don't like it on myself at all, as it overwhelms me and gives me headaches.
Sunrise, on the other hand, is wonderful, it caresses and warms me, I feel very comfortable with this scent.

I would love to get a few backup bottles, I find the scent so beautiful.

Unfortunately, the bottle is not that great; the transparent plastic bottle and the white spray head with the plastic cap make the fragrance seem like it was dumped from a cheap discount store for 1.-€.

The scent itself is truly a dream, suitable for any occasion.

Ah, I think I will get the second bottle after all. May fortune be on my side that it is still available.

Curious about the new SUN fragrance

To test the new fragrance, I curiously went into a perfume store.
I took the tester and smelled the bottle - but there was nothing to smell. Already quite disappointed, I sprayed the fragrance on a test strip - but even now there wasn't really much to smell. Discouraged, I put the test strip in my pocket. In the evening, I wanted to smell it one last time - and oh - WOW - it smelled amazing - so amazing that I immediately ordered the fragrance online. And at a very affordable price. This is the right fragrance for me up to temperatures of about 22 degrees. Therefore, it is best suited for spring, autumn, and not too hot summer days.
I can highly recommend Sunrise. Just take a sniff! It's worth it!
