Life is good
Not too long ago I said to a friend that Dior has lost its mojo; its line-up is uninspiring and heavily overpriced. That was before I tried Gris Dior Eau de Parfum . The magnificent Gris convinced me to reconsider Dior, or at least to give the Collection Privée another try. So, next in line was Lucky and that turned out just as successful as Gris; easy-to-wear, highly refined and an absolute mood booster. It appears I was wrong about Dior after all.
Like Gris, Lucky excels in simplicity rather than artistic grandeur. While Gris is more of a composition (rose, patchouli, amber), Lucky could almost be called a single accord. A fresh floral accord resembling Lily-of-the-valley. Not necessarily the most natural feeling but who cares, we all know that there is no such thing as a natural Lily-of-the-valley extract. What matters is that Lucky gives off the most frivolous, carefree "life is good" vibes possible. Conventional, wearable perfumery at its best.
