Refreshing jasmine tea and tart green apples

Light Blue Capri in Love is a fragrance I will need to try again as I sampled it in a Sephora, on the back of my hand, while I went about during the weekend. I wasn't expecting much, but I was truly blown away by the scent and its freshness, perfect for warm weather (also it's a tea fragrance which I'm always a fan of).

It starts with a fresh, light scent of jasmine tea: subtle sweetness and floral aspect. Doesn't take long before the apple note appears: it's tart, but fruity sweet, almost citrusy in its facet. I can't say I've smelled longoza, so I can't really say how it developed in the fragrance. This is why I need to smell it again (and will update my review when I do) as I wasn't really paying attention to the drydown as I went about my day. I do have to say that the first few minutes of the fragrance were sufficiently enjoyable for me to want to pay better attention next time. No toilet cleaner vibe which is something that seems to be coming up in the Light Blue line frow other reviewers which is a good thing!

To be tested again!

No Thank You Mary Keep Ur Capri Vacation

On the sample packaging it states that this is a spicy floral perfume. I am not sure what longoza is but after wearing it for over 5 hours it seems that that is what is overpowering this fragrance. It has smelled like this one note the whole time I have worn it. Incredibly strong when first applied, and feels very one note after the first two hours. I don't think I picked up on the floral or jasmine tea notes on my skin but I did pick up on the green apple which can sometimes smell a bit too green on me. Defintely gave me a headache this was not the fragrance for me. Smells a bit bubbly maybe like a sprite or champagne idk! Also too much alcohol smh

Tea and citrus

This is a beautifully simple tea and citrus scent. I have never smelled a longoza so I could not tell you if this shows up here or not. The scent is surprisingly powerful, one spritz in the crook of my elbow wafted around me nicely. I really enjoyed catching it on the breeze for my afternoon run. It reminds me a lot of Korres White Tea, but with more lemon. Korres White Tea has a little more character and is much cheaper

Fleeting Capri Vacation

This fragrance is aptly named "in love." Yes! Because I am truly deeply IN LOVE with this new scent.

At first, it smells incredibly fresh, like freshly brewed cooled white tea. Quite subtle and relatively not sweet.
Then a slightly fruity note of a green apple joins in. Not sour - not sweet, but rather fresh, unripe. A light citrus note. (Like in Light Blue OG)

I didn't immediately identify it as an apple. I actually had to take another look to place it correctly. Someone mentioned orange, and I initially thought of an orange. But the scent doesn’t smell like orange at all.
I couldn't identify the apple blindfolded. I wouldn’t even describe it as super fruity.
Rather, it’s perfectly balanced with the tea. Subtle, light, and also not sweet.

What I found positively surprising: No toilet cleaner! (Yay) Because with Light Blue, I unfortunately always have the same problem; it smells like toilet cleaner to me. With this fragrance, I briefly had that association, but thankfully it completely disappeared after the first few minutes.

The scent development is super linear and consistent. No surprises.

But then:
After about 20 minutes, a wonderful woody scent emerges with the typical Light Blue DNA. Delightful! Really - delightful! It leans towards unisex for me, but definitely not spicy-masculine.

For me, the scent smells like summer, vacation, sunshine. Carefree, not sweet. Just how I want to smell at 30 degrees +! I could inhale this fragrance. I am truly positively surprised. Everything that bothers me about the original has been implemented very well and better in this scent.

The wheel hasn’t been reinvented with the new Light Blue line.
But significantly less cloying and more fresh/woody.

But that would all be too good to be true, right?!
Let’s talk about the longevity.

The longevity is really subpar. Normally, I’m someone who sprays very little. Two sprays are usually enough for me.

Here, 4-5 sprays were totally fine. But after about 30 minutes, the scent is right up close to the skin. And shortly after, it’s gone. Completely gone! Even if I rub my hand on that spot and smell my finger, it’s almost gone.

Therefore, the scent reminds me of a body spray.

But D&G, what are these prices? If the longevity were better, it wouldn’t be an issue at all. But for 30 minutes of longevity, nearly 100 euros?
No… not happening with me!
What a shame…..
