The opening smells like the syrupy juice of a cantaloupe that has been sliced and left sitting at room temperature for a while.It’s not rancid, but it sits heavily on the skin and takes a couple hours for the vanilla to balance it out. Nausea-inducing on an empty stomach or if you’re not a fan of sweet scents.

The original devotion dna is still very apparent though, so if you’re someone who likes small modifications to keep things interesting, this is a decent addition to the Devotion line.

The melon at the start feels very sugary and synthetic to me, almost like watermelon chewing gum. Then the orange blossom comes in, and it feels much sharper than I expected. The whole composition becomes surprisingly heavy, which makes me wonder if it's the milky base creating that effect.

Throughout the wear, there's an unusual sourness that never quite settles into something I enjoy. Unfortunately, the composition didn't come together for me.

Within about 1.5-2 hours, I can barely detect it, even when smelling close to the application site. For me, the short longevity actually ended up being a positive.

During the dry down I still get at the forefront a very strong pairing of melon and orange blossom. Surrounding those notes is a denser vanilla. The melon note is a bit overripe and I think it may be the combo with the vanilla milk; which is coming off a touch lactonic. It's tinkering on the very edge of being a slightly sour off note unfortunately.

Overall this is sweet, fruity and creamy. However it's very simple and pretty banal. It feels thicker than I anticipated, even with the addition of the crisper orange blossom note. It's okay but for me, definitely not worth the price.

Your Devotion to me smells like an antibacterial kitchen cleaning spray. No melon notes, heavily artificial. I couldn’t wait to scrub this off my skin!

I have Granita which is the most gorgeous sweet melon scent that actually smells of melon. Don’t waste your money on this.
