Nordic Fougère Dunhill 2022

The name is a bit misleading, but this is a solid fragrance unlike anything else in my collection. This isn’t really a fougere, but there are a couple of the classic aromatic fougere elements to it.
It’s more of a warm-weather blue freshie cosplaying as a fougere.
While you could probably wear this all year, it has icy facets which truly shine on hot days.
It's not a big projector after the 1 hour opening is finished, but it stays on the skin in a small, subtle 2 foot bubble for about 4 hours for me, and remains a skin scent for a couple more.
Most certainly both blind buy and office safe as it’s easy to like and almost impossible to hate. 8/10

Not your typical fougere like those old school masculine that put hair on the chest, it's somewhat unique with kumquat note, very modern and pleasant with vanilla (not sweet and obnoxious candy like) in the dry down.

This is very good for casual wear, office as well for date night, but not for clubbing of course.

Notes in the pyramid notwithstanding, Nordic Fougere struck me as a variation on a blue masculine fragrance theme. Did not smell like Dylan or Bleu or Explorer Blue, etc. just brought to mind the generic idea of a blue fragrance, fresh and aromatic. While sillage was moderate, I was surprised by the longevity. Got a good 9 hours out of it, getting whiffs at the late stages without moving while watching a movie.

I'm giving the scent a good rating because it is a pleasant enough fragrance although there's really nothing outstanding about it. It would do well if you are looking for this type of fragrance. If you already have a few in your collection, it would be redundant.

I have now owned and tested a few Dunhill fragrances.

The Signature Collection is really great; here you get scents that are not so synthetic and truly smell niche at really outstanding prices.

However, there is often a surprise with the Signature scents; they do not necessarily smell as one would expect based on the notes.

This fragrance here is really interesting; it is not the classic blue or an aquatic scent as one might expect.

You can smell all the listed notes; I have a hard time with the basil, I might catch it in a mix with the bamboo.

Somehow it definitely smells Nordic and fougère in the mixture of the notes.

It is a summer fragrance; the performance is in every respect better than that of the Xerjoff Torino 21 that I am currently wearing on my left arm and the Dunhill on my right.

The sweetness in the fragrance has a bit of vanilla.

My girlfriend smells both arms; we both really like the Torino 21, but it doesn't stand out.

My girlfriend smells my arm and says mmmhhmmm... it smells very good.

On the right arm, she smells the Dunhill, directly 2 or 3 more times hhhmm... it also smells very good, very extraordinary and stronger than the one on your left arm.

It somehow actually evokes a rougher, cooler coast in terms of scent; despite the bamboo and kumquat, I have more of this association than that of a coast, for example, in Italy, Spain, etc.

I am glad to have bought the Dunhill for a small amount of money.
