Another familiar cotton candy scent

Musc Halima is another member of the large Pink Sugar fragrance family. If you haven't smelled Pink Sugar yet, I'm talking about very sweet cotton candy gourmands with a fruity opening, a touch of caramel and a musky vanilla base.
I generally tend to like the imposters better than the original, because that one has a berry note that reminds me of cough syrup and some weirdly burned licorice, which many of its relatives don't have. Musc Halima is no exception.

It has the typical Pink Sugar cotton candy DNA, but it's less heavy and has some pretty strong citruses in the opening. The notes list is misleading, this is more on the candy-ish side of gourmands and not a warm vanilla-tonka-chocolate blend. In fact I find the chocolate quite subtle here. And while the musk is definitely noticeable in the base, it's not as prominent as one would expect from something with "Musc" in the name.

Overall this is nice. It brings nothing new to the table and I think there are better takes on the Pink Sugar theme (my personal favorites: Al-Rehab Soft and Place de Lices Rose au Sucre), but it's pleasant and balanced without the polarizing notes of PS.

This is mine!

A nice member recommended the fragrance oils from EL Nabil to me. Following this tip, I ordered three of the oils for testing (from the Islamshop, where they were the cheapest). One of these three perfume oils was Musc Halima.

First, I must mention that I am still searching for a replacement or something that smells somewhat similar to Wild Musk by Nerval. It is the scent that accompanied me for many years during my youth, was affordable, and all the young guys would always hang on my shoulder and say, "You smell soooo good!" Well... the young guys are no longer around, just like Wild Love by Nerval. The young guys are now as old as I am, and when I receive a compliment about my scent, I feel flattered. Over the years, one becomes modest.

Musc Halima surprised me. It is certainly not for everyone. It smells of musk, is subtly sweet, and lasts at least 7 hours on the skin. It develops an intense fragrance that is always noticeable; you feel embraced, you feel secure. The scent is cozy and warm. It reminds me of Wild Musk by Nerval, but does not hit that exact animalistic note. Nevertheless, it is a fragrance that musk lovers should definitely try. The scent is captivating, alluring to men! I would love to bathe in this fragrance. It fascinates me; I feel transported back to my youth... Where have the young men gone that I once enchanted with such a scent?

Still, it is not a scent that only suits youth. It fits anywhere. It is cotton candy and a way of life, lulling everyone in. There is nothing more beautiful than this El Nabil scent. It is mine! I love it!
