untold

"Untold" can be translated as indescribable, but also as unsaid.

My friend from New York often reminds me: It stays better untold.
She is right - some things are better left unsaid.
And she is a good keeper of secrets.

In the spirit of my mother, who liked to quote Laozi, she impressed upon me: If a wicked word burns on your tongue - let it burn.

And the beautiful full, slightly sweet scent does not reveal everything to me.
I am genuinely astonished by its complexity upon the first spray, which leaves questions unanswered.
Untold is soft, approachable - but also guards its secrets.
I have to read and understand it little by little.

It is not a complicated scent, but in the best sense, it is enigmatic.
The blackcurrant and pear greet me warmly, yet the pepper creates an extravagant distance.
This is resolved again by the alluring gardenia, the traditional peony, and the bright jasmine.
A shift towards elegance.
Sandalwood is cuddly, and the patchouli is full of mystery.
A scent that has much to tell but initially practices noble restraint.

I find the statement of untold very attractive, and it landed on my wish list.

P.S. Untold has moved in with me - and I would like to praise the fabulous sillage, which does not overwhelm.
Additionally, the longevity deserves a top rating.

You're right, it's a truly beautiful, mysterious scent. For me, it's pleasantly fruity and subtly floral.

I finally ordered it; I've been eyeing it for a long time. I really like Mrs. Arden's fragrances-except for most of the flankers.
