The almost perfect rose
Second day without moral concerns, where the precious time between boxing is used for a mood-lightening perfume test. After all, we are well on schedule and towards the end it gets stressful anyway, no matter how well you have prepared the move before
Rrose grabs the little fingers and I'm totally unencumbered with Ellis Brooklyn. However, due to the double Rs at the beginning, a particularly cheeky, self-confident rose that hits the 12 of you with a full pot and rolls the R playfully and aggressively is suspected to be fragrant
The opening pleases: A fresh, clear, minimally sweet, slightly fruity rose lies on my skin, equally self-confident, as expected, by no means too loud and yet cuddly, with a little touch of fabric softener, which comes across here more than pleasant and not too clean or even stinging.

In the meantime, I'll check it out a little bit: Lemon is included, which I had expected due to the fruitiness. Black currants blend in well, appear neither catlike nor dominant here. The pear provides the necessary creaminess and a touch of sweetness. Lotus and peony support here my favourite rose, the centifolie, also called Grasse rose, in its floweriness. Musk provides a portion of cleanliness. I can't see anything of cashmere wood and vanilla orchid yet, maybe later.

While I sniff and enjoy, I let my search for the perfect rose fragrance pass in review. It all started with a little rehearsal of Kiehl's, which I couldn't get out of my head for years and which I sorted as the eternally unreached, perfect rose. There are some don'ts to consider when it comes to rose fragrances: they shouldn't be too sweet, not too fresh either, so that one thinks directly of cleaning agents. Woods often make them too straw-floral, bergamot in combination with rose in my nose produces dill aromas. I don't want to smell all that, but only a natural, slightly citric-fruity smell in front, a discreet earthy-sweet rose smell in the back.

Moving on to the Ellis brand, this was founded three years ago in Brooklyn by the New York Times columnist and perfume lover Bee Shapiro and is dedicated to creating environmentally friendly, fresh and modern fragrances. So far, so sustainable.

Back to the fragrance: After some time the rose becomes weaker. The fresh and woody notes come through and form a worthy conclusion to this rrrrose appearance. And even the next morning I get a small, pleasant whiff of the scent of roses from the sleeve of my sweater />
My perfect rose it is not quite, but I lack the depth in the base, but Rrose is quite a fresh and successful addition to my previous rose parade.
