Maybe the best of the "extraordinaire" collection
Out of the 5 I've tried from this collection, this is the most unique and interesting.

It's a spicy, sweet and delicate rose with fresh cardamom and some sweetness + a little incense. The gingerbread is more of a texture than a note, I do get a little note of ginger though the kind that's present in Ingenious Ginger except here it's actually enjoyable. I really enjoyed wearing this.
If you're thinking of sampling this house and you like sweet, unique rose scents then definitely get your nose on this one.

As a rose-disliker...
Looking at the notes, I'm not sure why I chose Spice Must Flow. I do like incense and lately I've been liking cardamom too, but rose is my most disliked note from the top of my head. Anyhow, when ordering my next set of samples, Spice Must Flow came with.

On paper, incense is up in the air immediately. The note of incense is very creamy, like that of an incense stick of sandalwood, which has not yet been lit. However, very soon, the note of rose, sour as it is to my nose, appears too. When the fragrance dries down, I get a delightful note of ginger that compliments the scent very well. The cardamom is very faint and I'm actually unsure whether I can smell it or not, or if it's the ginger. This fragrance is very well blended. I must say that I was a little concerned, but what has been revealed on paper intrigues me.

Just before spraying my wrist, I came to the realisation that Spice Must Flow reminds me of a scent I tried at Sense Dubai, something about this fragrance is quite Middle Eastern. However, I am underwhelmed by how un-spicy it is. I would rather say this fragrance is warm and creamy (not in a lactonic way), but I would never call it spicy.

Let's give it a go on my skin. Spice Must Flow is very similar on skin as it is on paper at the opening, but I would actually say that it is better. The ginger isn't more gingery, but makes the fragrance fresher, the rose is less rosy, which to me means less sour. The cardamom isn't there either (as of yet), but the incense is less prominent than on paper.
After dry down, my excitement fizzles. Spice Must Flow is better on paper than it is on my skin, where rose has become the most dominating note. On paper, the fragrance is an amber to me, but on my skin it is a floral amber (you know, I know, we all know, I don't like florals...). Funny thing is, the aura around me is rose, rose, rose, but, the fragrance is actually more like it is on paper, when I smell my wrist!

Spice Must Flow was a ride. I interchangeable like and dislike it, I'm still not sure...
Going back to it after a hot while, I have to say that I dislike it. The rose is just too dominating, but I like how it smells close to my wrist.

Less Frank Herbert Dune Spice and more Posh Spice or Ginger Spice
ELdO's Spice Must Flow is less of Frank Herbert's space spice and more a hybrid of late-90's English pop group members Posh Spice and Ginger Spice. It's a lone, lush, rose, cool and fragrant, and mysteriously blooming in the dry, hot sands where only the prickliest, most pungent, and peppery spices survive. I don't think there's any citrus listed in the notes but there's a mild, sour zing when you first spritz that gives the impression of brightness, and a beautiful cardamom incense note at the dry down that lends a shadowy balance. I would actually call this a rose for people who think they don't like roses rather than a gateway to Arrakis for denizens of Spice World. Wait...what were we talking about?

Arrakischella
The scent of a subterranean festival, of bustling bazaars and mélange dens. Dune directed by Baz Luhrmann. Clouds of sweet cardamom and ginger swirl with rosy, almost gunpowder-y incense smoke. I don’t like the smell of incense enough to burn it in my home, but I love it here. TSMF is brighter and more tangy than Aesop’s Marrakech Intense, but I feel the two have the same foundation. Marrakech Intense is a vision of Harkonnen-occupied Arrakis; all concrete ziggurats – stark, harsh, desolate. TSMF is a Fremen sietch; a riot of medicinal herbs and sacred spices. TSMF is well-engineered, with god-emperor longevity and a druggy sillage. One to two puffs will do. I feel like it could be unisex, but the incense-rose gives it a femme lean. Lady Jessica definitely, Chani probably, Duncan Idaho maybe, Gurney Halleck no. 100p Feyd's guilty pleasure. It’s a fantastical scent, but my life is too dull to see much use of it.

Mental Snapshot: Hot sand underfoot, curls of heady spice smoke overhead. The revelers wear sandals of supple leather, shawls of beaded amber, dried roses tangled their hair. Party at Muad’Dib’s. It’s concubine night.

tl;dr: for ~ spice ~ girls (and guys)

Last in my discovery set journey... not as spicy as I expected
Smells like a nice incense to me. I don't believe this is even close to being the 'spiciest' one in the set. Frustration is a spice bomb if that's what you want and can stand Cumin.

I detect rose, saffron, and gingerbread which gives it a sweetness. Its very nice, well blended and a floral spicy. Its warm, inoffensive and pleasant to smell for the duration its on. Which for me and ELDO is quite a groundbreaking place to get to lol.

This is my last review of the x20 discovery set and its been a slog haha! Perfume and the hobby should not be slog, and this set has taught me a few things so overall I appreciate the experience. I do not like perfumes with loads of synthetic notes and chemical notes that I have no clue what its supposed to smell of. Its also taught me that even though there are 20 samples in a set doesn't necessarily make it a good deal if you dislike most of them, might not be the best idea to buy such huge sets from one single brand.

I’m missing some oud in here. It’s basically the typical rose-oud but with gingerbread instead of oud. Not my style.

Dark gothic rose with a heavy churchy base and a soft gingerbread feel to it, its closer to Santal royal with a bit more rose than PoaL imo.

This spicy patchouli rose reminds me of Portrait Of A Lady FM, but its light version. Lacks strong sillage, but for me it's not an issue

Generic rose-incense fragrance, not groundbreaking. I've smelled this in many other fragrances. Pleasing, cozy and relaxing scent.

Like a clove-studded orange pomander of the kind you make at Christmastime and tie with a red ribbon.

Unisex, deep, sensual take on cardamom. The rose is pretty unoffensive. No glaring gourmand or sharp-spicy notes- its more incense-y to me.

Love the Dune reference, but unfortunately, too much rose and not enough spice for me.

Smoked rose in a beautiful spiced wrapper. Would purchase a full bottle when I find a good discount for it.

Think of the Oud/Rose/Saffron combo, but replace the oud with incense, and add more spices with the saffron. Much better than it sounds.
