White Magic
White leather probably smells the same as black leather (or green leather with purple dots). However, the colour designation "white leather" is still consistent here. Namely in so far "white" is used in many phrases as a cipher for "benign": The white knight is the one who brings salvation, and the white magic is supposed to protect from imprecations and other calamities.
And that's how the fragrance is: We find here in the core the modern synthetic leather note known from Tuscan Leather and his numerous relatives, which is still fascinating (but perhaps a bit annoying now and then, which is not the fault of this fragrance in particular). But it's not combined with oak wood, brandy, cast iron, wolf sweat, motorway tar, forest fire smoke, the blood of slaughtered orcs and whatever other hardcore notes there are, but with "beautiful", "nice" and "friendly"
I can't smell Iris as distinctive as musk, which is why I would like to explicitly refrain from the corresponding standard characterizations "powdery" and "creamy". I don't smell anything like that. I smell there, beside the leather, only a friendlier, perhaps not exactly feminine (as some here meant), but rather human, as it were apollinic, cheerful (but not at all sweet) fluidum, which comes to me, even if citrus notes may not seem real, from the idea almost citric-light green (and of course appropriately flowery)
I like it! I like it! For the time being, that's not a purchase candidate, but for two applications there's still enough in store, and maybe that's enough for the white magic to enchant me.
