Powdered Porcelain Doll

Iris Porcelana is a perfume-like, powdery, and slightly greasy iris fragrance. And IP is something my mom or granny would wear. It reminds me of a porcelain doll with a purple dress and violet powder on its cheeks. A mature, vintage-dressed woman with a soft aura comes to my mind, too.

There’s Ex Nihilo’s DNA running down its vein. Iris Porcelana has similar vibes to Fleur Narcotique and Lust In Paradise when it dries down, even though these three are entirely different fragrances.

The scent is good, and it would be great for someone who can pull off this fragrance, but it induced a headache for me after one spray.

Longevity and sillage are great. The scent still lingered in the room even after I had windows opened for a couple of hours.

My scent of the day is Iris Porcelana from Ex Nihilo. It’s so delicate and subtle. It’s bright and luminous, very innocent. It’s fragile like a snowflake and these very old coffee cups made of the finest porcelain around 75 years ago (these belonged to my grandmother's sister). (*picture in IG, will add it here later)

Iris Porcelana is like a second skin. Iris is a light breath inside a cloud of soft and warm almost transparent musk and woods. It feels that it has made for elfs and for angels. It feels like a scene from the movie when someone is dreaming of the best moments of their lives and the brightness of the screen fills the whole theater.

This was a must have to my collection of versatile yet attractive scents. It’s quite simple yet indulgent and sumptuous. This makes me happy and it makes me smile.

Ephemeral loose powder

I had a powder that fell one day and it's broken, the smell of this perfume is exactly the same.
A LIGHT cosmetic powder, the smell of airy loose powder.
It's not the suffocating powder one imagines when the fragrance is described as powdery. She is sweet, discreet and so flying.
At the end, we notice the smell of sweetbread mixed with cedar. It gives it a "craillon size" side.
The scent is non-intrusive, subtle and transparent (even a bit too much for me).
The name Porcelana suits it perfectly. But the IRIS part I do not find it present enough.
