Lost Classic Reborn?
So a wet shaving supply company recently added a new item from Phoenix Accouterments, named “Black Shroud in 3D”. Phoenix is an amazing and fun brand that decided to recreate Woodhue for men due to its glorious history and being the signature scent of Dean Martin, backed by family as the truth. So oddly with this fabled history I can find little about the scent, mostly just the female version. So I own the aftershave splash released by Phoenix and it reminds me of “Floid” The Genuine original aftershave splash. It dries to an amber powdery scent, clean in a classic barbershop style. It’s masculine in that classic sort of way, not complicated, just clean and smooth. I certainly don’t think this is for everyone, but I wanted to share my experience and reveal a source for those interested in not spending an arm and a leg for a vintage original. Cheers all.
