Jindujun's dream woman
As if an expensive vanilla pudding, made by a star chef, had fallen into the make-up case... that's how you can think of "Camaheu" by Gabriella Chieffo. Another excellent scent from the Italian, no question. Intense and courageous, as usual. Not a half thing. You have to like this make-up, air-raising kind though... luckily I do that most of the time.

"Camaheu" can quickly become too much, even for me. Vanilla is automatically a border crosser of good taste, even as the opposite of supermarket pudding, combined with heavy powder and green ivy accents it can quickly hit the stomach. Especially if it is empty and growls or if you are simply in the wrong mood. Discreet dosing is an art and duty for your own well-being and the environment!

"Cameheu" is gentle and somewhat clumsy, a vanilla cloud of dreams and thoughts, of desires and fantasies, of danger and seduction. Memories of Bebe Cream and Grandma's makeup mirror come back. The rose colours the otherwise tender yellow cloud minimally reddish, but is very thinly dosed. Likewise the ivy and other greenish outgrowths, on which one must concentrate already, in order to notice them. Sometimes it's damp, sometimes it's dry, but always very spacious and powdery like a Paris brothel. The Moulin Rouge is calling. Only in much less wicked, less erotic, dearer and safer. If it hurts, this fat fairy from another world can still do it. Breathing is then difficult, but it is also possible to hold one's breath. At least for a while.

Flacon: little dreams of stone and glass
Sillage: intense powder, soft but juicy.
Shelf life: a cloud with longevity - 8 hours

Conclusion: an all around noble powder puff made of rose, vanilla and chalky ivy - simply fantastic if you like creamy powdery colleagues. If you don't, you have to suppress your gag reflex, because "Camaheu" is one of the most powdery perfumes on the market.

Camaheu - hard to put into words
There's a couple in our town, I guess they're in their mid-eighties, though they look younger. She's tall and slim, he's small and fat. You always see them together, shopping, going for a walk and occasionally eating in the village pub. People have known each other for many years, greet each other, talk to each other about the weather, the prices, the shift to the right in Germany, the worries and much more. The two are always happy, always have something to laugh about and good mood that infects. I don't know their names, it's not so important, we appreciate each other, it's more important. Now she's alone, I rarely see her anymore. A few months ago, while walking, he wanted to go home quickly, "I'm funny". He collapsed dead outside the front door, a big shock to her. When I saw her, all she did was wave at me, and she moved on quickly. Now I met her at the stop, now she could talk about it. After more than 60 years of marriage, something is torn from the heart that no longer heals. It's good that he didn't need nursing and had to go to the home, that comforts her, he never wanted that. And while I stood next to her and held her hand, she noticed my scent, "but it smells fine, beautiful perfume...and this autumn, Lorenz seems so great..." Slowly she can enjoy something again, which in turn pleased me.

The scent was Camaheu, which I sneaked around for a long time. Now he is mine, I have already worn him several times and can't really tie him up. Camaheu is not citric, despite the ingredients of bergamot and grapefruit and exudes warm freshness (is that possible? Yes). I am surrounded by a creamy soapy spice with a slightly bitter note of ivy, rose flashes out, sweetened with vanilla and immediately becomes more bitter again with the oak moss. In Camaheu head, heart and base almost appear in one, play with each other and all this seems filigree and harmonious to me. And enchanting. And kind of comforting. Hm, I can't describe him any better than that.

The Sillage is strong at the beginning, levelled off after half an hour to an average, the shelf life is quite good, about 8 hours. The glass flacon is of high quality and simple, quite heavy, therefore more difficult to handle. It would be nice if the manufacturers didn't just offer 100 ml canisters. Spring and autumn are the wearing times of Camaheu, according to the classification unisex, but is he really suitable for guys? I don't mean, oh, just test.

Thanks Aggeliki for the little one, it took more than 2 years until he moved in.

Shampoo and Disinfectant in Feel
A soapy, shampoo like, musky grapefruit with undertones of an old fashioned pine disinfectanct.

I don't get any floral feel from this but do get a vague herbal like quality.

I find the smell very 'chemically', strangely tangy and not at all what I was expecting from the description of this being a powdery floral. For me the grapefruit runs strongly the whole way through, so drowning out the floral heart.

Tragic musk
Camaheu: a powdery and soapy white musks note, dusty and slightly sugary, as much silky as completely “plastic” (ketones and synthetic bath soap, shortly), with a stout base of (again...) amber and most probably ambroxan, unrelated and quite annoying salty-metallic notes hanging around, a spicy accord halfway cumin and nutty, heavy synthetic mossy notes. No patchouli for me, but something musky-earthy on the very base, which can be anything. As if that wasn’t enough, a heart of floral notes halfway soap and gingerbread which oddly reminded me of a couple of the most tragic Mona di Orio scents (Lux and Jabu for instance). Like the other two scents by this line I’ve tested so far, in my opinion this is just... weird and clumsy. And annoying. An uncreative and uninspired scrubber sticking to your skin for hours (it survived a shower), completely identical to itself, where the “itself” is the abovementioned synthetic concoction. The only nice aspects for me – taking them per se – are vanilla, amber, ambroxan, and the jasmine note as long as you can smell it. But it’s just like finding clean clothes or an edible slice of pizza in the back of a rubbish van. Somehow close to the worse masculine aromatic-musky fougères of the ’90, mostly for the mossy notes and the metallic-salty aftertaste. Just my opinion, but a complete “no” for me.

The absolute soapy opening of the fragrance gives space to the powdery phase in the most discrete way. Fresh and powdery, soapy and dry.
