A hug that breaks ribs
To my acquisition of the fine "Acquasala" from Gabriella Chieffo I got "Taersia" as a sample - actually I didn't care which fragrance was still in the bag as bottling, because I didn't know anything about the brand yet and it impressed me deeply in the shop. And "Taersia" continued this admiration in the following days, turning it a bit into (personal) astonishment. Because "Taersia" is a real tuberose block. And I often like them almost as little as jasmine. But here it is different...
"You have to dose "Taersia" sensitively - this diva can quickly shoot in the direction of migraine. But when you get the hang of it, this thick, viscous and heavy veil of tuberose, musk and myrrh incense is a real sensation. No one can walk by without a comment. Surely not always cheering, but for conversation material and for sniffing up noses one provides hereby always. It looks as if the finest marble is melted down and pasted with fine tuberose powder. It quickly becomes too much, thickens up, but has a certain basic elegance, which even in this concentration, with this potency and with this weight cannot be expelled. This tuberose caught me on exactly the right foot.
A little sauna infusion is also included, a very Italian and decadent scent. Almost something from the Roman Empire. Caesar and the lavish nobility's heads send their greetings. A villa poured into a bottle. Toxic and attractive at the same time. Brilliant white with grey veils. Tuberose highly concentrated and carved in stone. You can even catch a salty breeze from the sea. An incredibly sensual, moving and textured perfume that Mrs. Chieffo passed her perfume exam with. Quite rightly and in a spectacular way.
Flacon: these are fine flacons, which Mrs. Chieffo presents to us here... valuable and with an eye-catching cap made of real, heavy materials such as stone, concrete or the like.
Sillage & durability: has soft elbows, but knows how to use them cracking... For nine hours. That's what I call endurance.
Conclusion: am I on my way away from tuberose allergy?! "Taersia" is a tuberose debris that makes many a wrecking ball look like a sucked-out medicine ball... Spectacularly breathtaking. That can't please everyone, but it will please everyone.
