Cantabelle Galimard Eau de Parfum

Cantabelle begins sweet and fruity, and I also perceive a slightly peppermint-herbaceous note. Then it becomes floral-fruity, with an emphasis on "fruity," yet remains subtle. The base fades out with an amber-vanilla scent.

Cantabelle is not an overwhelming fragrance, but it is pretty; a scent whose advantages only reveal themselves after the second or third sniff. When the test vial was empty, I missed it, even though I initially thought, "well, pretty, but I don't need to have it." Maybe I do need to have it :-)

In the meantime, I know quite a few of the Galimard women's fragrances. I don't like them all, and not all that I like I like equally. But they all have a common denominator: a special Galimard style that expresses itself in the fact that the fragrances are pretty, non-committal, suitable for everyday use, and at the same time very South French and very individual.

It's like when you buy some clothing item on a whim while on vacation in South France and think, "this doesn't really need to happen, it's just a vacation whim." Back home, it becomes the absolute irreplaceable favorite piece of clothing that you can't imagine living without. That's how the Galimard fragrances potentially feel to me.

Unfortunately, the EdT is not very long-lasting. I haven't tried the EdP yet.
