The Further Sinking into Insignificance - Shallow-Monotonous Mint Freshness

How many "Code" variants are there now? It doesn't matter, one thing is certain: In the fragrance sector, Armani - at least in the mainstream segment - hasn't had a foothold (anymore) with me for several years.

In the long run, it seems I'll stick with my beloved 1984 "Eau pour homme" and the very everyday-friendly, simply nice 1998 "Emporio He". That’s it....

The Armani ice comes - who would be surprised? - trimmed for spring.
A zesty start, essentially minty ginger. Citrusy, but somehow lacking "real", natural freshness.

That's pretty much all that comes through for a long time. A subtly sweet-green geranium mixes in, but overall the scent fades significantly after 90 minutes, leaving - typically Armani - a very lightweight, simple residue of aromas behind, weak in sillage and diffuse. A hint of woods in the citrusy mush.

Not worthy of a long or extensive comment....

You were very generous here. The opening is 70%, while the heart and base are at 10%!!!

That's how I feel about many mainstream fragrances. I especially didn't connect with the Code line (but I can only speak for the women's scents). They usually start to annoy me after half a day...
