The 50th - A golden wedding...
Early 90s, a balmy summer evening.
A French couple, already together for very many years, spend a few days together in Provence, far away from their home, Normandy.

Thierry, an extremely obliging, polite and sensitive gentleman in his late 60s, and his wife Antoinette, a delicate, fine and neat lady of the same age. They have rented a small bungalow beyond civilization.

It is a Sunday, the two are each relaxing in a lounger in the garden, holding hands, their faces turned skyward, eyes closed...
Birds chirping, butterflies hovering, bumblebees buzzing, the wind blowing, the Mediterranean a few miles away...
[...]

Suddenly Thierry stands up, doesn't say a word, smiles gently at his Antoinette...
Just like always, just like 52 years ago, when they met for the very first time, in the schoolyard...

He stands up, stands in front of her, gets down on his knees, takes her hands...
His Antoinette begins to tremble, in her legs, in her hands...
Thierry, "an angel on earth", as his Antoinette always affectionately calls him, reaches into his trouser pocket with one hand, pulls out a mini-box, opens it, a ring peeps out.... A ring unlike any other...
Delicate, as if made for Antoinette's delicate fingers; yellow-gold, with a silver diamond, simply angelic...

Antoinette is gobsmacked, is speechless, looks bizarrely at the ring, then deep into her Thierry's eyes, and the first tear rolls down.... She looks again at the ring, again at her soulmate, and asks incredulously:
"My angel, you're not going to... are you?" before she can finish the question, her husband interjects, "Yes, ma chérie, I am!"

... "My Antoinette... my heart, my soul, my life; my everything...
Fifty years it is now, to the day, do you remember then?" her husband tries to bring her memory of their wedding to life.
- "Of course I do my angel, like it was only yesterday..." she replies in a shaky nervous voice.
- "That's right... And I knew then: you are THE woman, you are THE one.... My heart, I hereby ask you: Will you be my wife once more?"

BOOM!
Antoinette breaks down, tears flowing down like Niagara River waterfalls, her entire body shaking like she's at the North Pole....

She goes down on her knees as well, feeling slain with happiness, hugging her Thierry as tightly as she ever has and whispering in his ear:

"My angel, I want to spend the next 50 years with you too..."

[...]
I wanted to dedicate my 50th comment to this noble bouquet of flowers. I got to know him through the dear Parfuma Alliage, and by the rating can be seen: I find him fabulously beautiful.

Not for myself I would buy him, but I see him clearly on a woman. This fragrance belongs in my eyes crystal clear to the ladies.

All too detailed I would like to give for once no description again.
This Amarige is roughly speaking a fruity-floral and in the base slightly oriental treasure, which is mMn best suited for the warmer days.
Very opulent, very strong and intense, with the floral notes in the foreground, but in a very impressive way for me personally.

A fragrance full of power, full of personality and full of charm, which underlines the femininity of a lady...

A fragrance that symbolizes beauty and happiness...

A fragrance for the radiant bride in summer...

Am I still normal?
Sometimes I wonder what is all this. So many fragrances to own is not normal.
(I know, I know, there are people who have much more).

Today, for example, I couldn't decide what to wear.
In the morning I had to go to the eye doctor, because you should smell good, but it comes quite close to you, so it must not be TOO loud. Feminine it should already be, but not too flowery, which drifts then perhaps too much into the girlish. Too tart but also not (I like men's fragrances), otherwise the still thinks I'm a Mannweib :-)

Really stupid the whole thing - I'd rather leave it. Is anyway no matter, there are so many terrible things happening on this planet, since it is but "wurscht" whether and which perfume I wear.

And then Amarige by Givenchy comes to mind, that friendly, lovely, fruity, flowery scent, THAT'S it.
I like it and today it's raining, I much prefer to wear it in autumn, then it fits for me yes.
These fine aromas at the beginning with fruity, warm plum, a little peach and something fresh lemony, then follow soft, warm floral scents that combine with the woody elements, it catches you, does not let you go, is multi-layered and cheerful, warming and yet a little woody, it loves me and I love it. You just can't take too much of it or it becomes too opulent.

At the doctor, the receptionist sniffed a little (didn't have a mask, but glass wall) and then smiled at me very friendly. Today, everyone was very friendly at all. What might be the reason for that? :-)

I still wish everyone a nice week.

Fruity-floral all-rounder
Dabbed, not sprayed:

First, the fruits come around the corner. But the flowers can also not be long Bitten and together they flaunt for a while around. It is mildly fruity, slightly soapy, delicately floral-sweet and also a little powdery. Over the course of the first hour, Amarige retreats to closer to people and is then a nice all-rounder, joined by light woody notes over time. After about 2 hours, the scent hovers right over the skin. The shelf life is with me 5 - 6 hours.

I like Amarige well, but a "must have" he is not now

I love you, I love you not, I love you...
...I don't love you... oh mon dieu... It's too flowery, too fruity, too sweet, too green, too confused, too messy. When I apply it I have the feeling of being hit by a wave of flowers, but there is a sweetness in the background that I can't define and gives me a headache. Although the pyramid tells me what's inside, I can't recognize a single scent, the bottle is misleading...it looks far too innocent for this perfume.
There is no way it is an office fragrance, many a colleague would jump out of the window voluntarily, the Sillage can hold a candle to Alien...I would wear it on a first date, in spring...when the sun's rays gain more power and you are sitting outside. If a breath of air catches this perfume and carries it over to the beloved one, it will definitely cloud his senses...and that's what we want, isn't it? Because Mändels, in Drydown this scent fits together like a puzzle and everything fits together wonderfully...it's soft, round, lush in short female elegant and innocent *cough*...just like the bottle ;-)

Alien flower juice
Cool fresh tuberose. Sweet milky white and metallic.
Venomous as snake bite.

Mutant spawn of Poison and Sécrétions Magnifique.

Utterly audaceous. Insanely powerful.
Totally unwearable.

Fabulous.

Epitome of big yellow floral perfumes. Makes me feel enormous when I'm wearing It. Opulent and celebratory in a careless way of another era.
