Sharp, classy woody blend
Goldfield & Banks Wood Infusion is a nicely modern fresh spicy resinous woody scent that could easily be part of a men’s collection in a variety of houses, mixing together what is presumably a variety of woods (based on the note listing) with iris, oud, lavender, patchouli, and amber, mainly. It opens brightly and dries down more darkly but has a similar-enough character throughout, a bit sharp but multifaceted and nuanced, seemingly a cousin of Tom Ford Oud Wood. Though it’s nothing terribly new, I still quite like it and it’s a very sturdy offering in within a line that otherwise does not include wood-heavy fragrances.

The current pricing for most of the main collection is $190 for 100ml and is sold at US boutiques like Perfumology, and like most of the line, it performs quite well, and the value is very good.

Questionable Quality
Purchased this cologne and thought it was fairly decent, albeit a bit overly sweet. Then one day I purchased some woody air freshers for my apartment (for $12.99) that smelled 100% identical. This made me really question the overall quality of the ingredients used in this fragrance. I'm guessing that Wood Infusion is almost entirely synthetic.

Extremely light
This fragrance is extremely light and airy and doesn’t have much punch to it you pick up some super light woods but it’s very airy and not dense it does have some very light citrus like ultra light and ultra subtle with the woods. It’s barely aromatic all together underwhelming fragrance. This is all I’ve been able to sample from goldfield and banks I look forward to more I’ve heard sunset hour is heat but all in all I gotta smell more and see. Not impressed though. Very underwhelmed.

Beautiful woody scent with certain extras
For the first time, I was allowed to participate in a fragrance discovery program. Not without some slight reservations about the perfume house, my anticipation was nonetheless high. Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against Goldfield & Banks; after all, one of my favorite fragrances comes from their portfolio, Silky Woods. However, my first experience with this perfume house was with Pacific Rock Moss. A great scent, no doubt, but I must admit I have a penchant for fragrances with more "power." Pacific Rock Moss is beautiful, but unfortunately a bit weak for my taste in terms of longevity and projection.
In my mind, I had associated Goldfield & Banks fragrances with being transparent and a touch of... How wrong I was.
I was surprised when I discovered during my testing phase that G&B indeed has other fragrances to offer, scents that also meet my "demands."
I was again surprised to find that one of my new favorites is treated rather poorly on Parfumo. Well, without the fragrance discovery program, I might not have thought to test it.
Wood Infusion is truly a wonderful woody scent that, in my opinion, comes with some extras. It has really decent longevity. Sprayed in the afternoon, a hint lingered throughout the evening, reminding me of its presence. Even the next morning, I could smell it quite closely, though distinctly, on my arm.
I find it has a certain similarity to Oud Wood, but it brings even more to the table.
Right at the beginning, I notice the fresh orange; it retreats a bit over time but flashes back every now and then. I also smell lavender directly on my arm, not strongly, but it is present. The woody notes definitely take center stage, while everything else, including patchouli, plays a supporting role that makes Wood Infusion beautifully complex and anything but boring. The scent doesn’t have a very strong but definitely a noticeable progression, showing different facets. Towards the end, it becomes creamy with a slight sweetness, but the woody notes always remain in the foreground. For me, it is absolutely unisex.
Is it worth a test? In my opinion, definitely.

Gentle Woods from Down Under
Since I ordered the discovery set, I could indulge in my olfactory passion with delight.

The opening comes creamy-orange, gentle and loving, with the iris friendly and sweet in the background. Nothing scratches, and my first thought is: definitely ambiguous! It can be worn by both men and women. The patchouli also leisurely takes its place, the oud playfully presents its civilized accords, and my mood actually keeps getting better.

Great, I think, filled with the hope that this might stay the same. Of course, unrealistic, everything in life is change, and soon the woods come around the corner and settle in, and they stay until the end. Even though it starts to bore me a little, I realize that there are moments in life when things don’t have to be exciting.

Overall, a really delicious scent, and the term also refers to the cuteness in the fragrance. Unfortunately, it is a bit weak on the projection, and after 2 hours, it is only detectable about 20cm from the skin. I secretly hope for an extrait; that would be exciting. Highly recommended for people in professions where they work closely with others. Not every nose appreciates ethyl maltol penetrations to the point of epilepsy, so I can recommend Wood Infusion. Not just for Australians.

Unexpectedly interesting blend of iris and woods, with detectable oud too. Unfortunately, it lacks bite.

I like this!!! Masculine, not overly oudy, fresh and woody. Not too spicy, and definitely something I can see myself wearing more.

Beautiful floral, woody opening, but I was somewhat disappointed by the dry down. It quickly turned into a more generic spicy-woody smell.

Pleasantly surprised by this one. It's the woodiest out of the line without being overwhelming. Provocative and makes you think.

Soft, creamy lavender-iris with an orange top coat, backed by oud. Pungent opening but sweetens as patchouli + amber intensify in drydown.

Very pleasant creamy wood scent that in the opening reminds me a lot of Penhaligon‘s The Inimitable William Penhaligon with more moderate sillage
