Tiger Balm & Corodin Drops
So far I've been a silent reader here, getting inspiration, tips and the one or other swing fragrance in life - until this perfume now makes me write my first own post here. First of all, I bought Purple Suede in a perfumery, so it wasn't a blind buy. I liked the herbaceous, slightly tart scent that just smells different - not typically masculine, not typically feminine. I could smell lavender and actually a bit of suede. I thought. Wore it the first time I was on the road with my sister. Who got in the car and already said, "Funny, it smells like Tiger Balm here. Are you having migraines again?" - Well, after the smell popped up a few times a day she could better identify it: "That's def. you! Tigerbalm! Definitely! But wait, there's something else. That smells like Korodin drops. Tiger balm and Korodin drops!" Okay. Whew. I don't know, the perfume really didn't smell that bad now, did it? Didn't it? Okay. When I got used to the Korodin Tigerbalm dilemma with one laughing and one crying eye (you know, Korodin drops are those biting alcoholic herbal camphor drops when your circulation drops), my partner comes home in the evening, is barely in the door and said, "What's that smell? Do you have a migraine? Or are those incense sticks?" Nooooo!!!!! Really?!
Overall summary: For me, the fragrance is strongly herbaceous, I smell patchouli and actually leather (although not suede), I would classify it a tad more masculine - which I like pers. I wear almost no female perfume.
With me, however, he gets this strong medical touch. I can no longer deny the similarity to Korodin and Tigerbalm, and still disagree with myself about how d'accord I am with smelling like this. So, sure - everyone as he wants of course!
What you have to credit the fragrance: Sillage and durability are unbeatable. Applied in the morning, evening still very well perceptible. I had the perfume ursprgl. classified as a summer fragrance, but will dare me rather on cooler days again, possibly does him then quite well. And I have to reduce significantly.
