Where's the Gorgeous Gardenia?

It smells exactly like the original, though I have to admit this new version delivers far better longevity and projection (though, given how weak the original was, that’s hardly surprising…).

As for the scent itself, to me it’s mostly brown sugar and red fruits. Not unpleasant, but far from remarkable – too sweet, too ordinary, and the gardenia? Completely missing, as far as I can tell.

What I do love, however, is the bottle. Its vintage silhouette, paired with a vibrant, modern color, gives it a delightfully playful edge.

Beautiful scent

I absolutely love this one! My favourite from the gucci flora line so far, I have to say.
The orange note is very apparent but it's balanced out by the floral and woody notes, especially in the dry down.
I would say that it's a very nice elegant and sweet, floral orange, perfect for a warm spring or summer evening.

love it!

sweet and soft to begin with. yes, it has „intense“ in its name but it’s not too overpowering. perfect for a warm spring or fall night. it smells like a fruity cocktail. i find myself smelling it from time to time cause it’s just so lovely. people will definitely give you compliments and the scent lingers for hours! if you love sweet, dreamy scents, this will be for you.

A sweeter fruity version of gorgeous gardenia

I really like it. It somewhat resembles a sweet, fruity candy while still retaining the floral creaminess of the gardenia. It’s a more intense bolder , sweeter version of its gorgeous gardenia predecessor. It lasted all day and even could smell traces the next morning though I would not say it was noticeable to others at that point.

The drydown!

I have read mixed opinions about this fragrance online. It's basically a Love or Hate situation. I could never really connect with the entire Flora line and received a sample of "Flora Gorgeous Gardenia Intense | Gucci." It was definitely not love at first sniff. Citrusy freshness in the opening, a floral medley in the heart, and something bright and woody in the drydown. What a shame, I thought, as I strolled through the city. I went into a café and kept smelling a small cozy cloud wafting around me. No idea where it was coming from. At some point, I smelled my wrist and wondered if it was actually "Flora Gorgeous Gardenia Intense | Gucci." That was the beginning of wearing the fragrance every day and seeing how it develops. The scent is not loud, but dense. The fragrance is not overwhelming, but definitely more intense than the original. Yes, you can clearly smell the creamy gardenia and a bit of jasmine. But what is this COZY feeling? It must be the Hedione. I immediately looked it up and researched. There are indeed studies claiming that people who wear Hedione are perceived as trustworthy. Others feel safe in their presence. Exciting! And it was exactly in this drydown that I fell in love over time. When the floral heart transitions into the base and the Hedione mixes with the woods, this scent bubble is created that is simply beautiful and makes you feel enveloped. As usual, my patients at work were involved. Most really liked the opening. "So fresh and lively!" Others preferred the "floral fruity" aspect. My colleagues, who sometimes get closer to me with hugs, particularly liked the drydown. Even the perfume haters! "Smells like you!" Well, I assume it smells like me but better. By now, I have this fragrance in the 100ml size (Black Friday €89). A perfect everyday scent that feels intimate to me and is not intrusive. People looking for a beast mode fragrance are definitely in the wrong place. However, if you just want to smell nice, well-groomed, and attractive, this fragrance is the right choice. Sillage: Yes, definitely noticeable by others. Projection: The first 10 minutes are already intense, then rapidly turns into a skin scent. Longevity: 8 hours on the skin and 12 on clothing. However, only very softly.
Ps: I don't really smell berries here, and I don't find it too sweet.
