L'Heure Bleue Guerlain 2026

A gorgeous clean scent which isn’t too fresh, it has just the right amount of coziness. I’ve already ordered a back up bottle! Powdery Iris with ozonic notes & vanilla. To me it’s perfection. I think it will layer beautifully with insolence too.
This was a blind buy success for me.

I cannot understand the slander

There is no point in comparing this to the beautiful, melancholic OG which they’ve renamed L'Heure Bleue 1912 (seriously Guerlain?).
This is a new scent.. though with six years in the making and they couldn’t give this its own name??.. that really has pee’d me off some what. They did Shalimar L’essence for Shalmars 100th anniversary, and they really should’ve gave this a flanker name .. but I’ll get over myself eventually. However, I’m hence forth calling this L’Heure Bleue Deux.

Despite Guerlain’s daft marketing idea here, I wanted to review this on its own merit.... first impressions… I love it and I took home a bottle.

At its heart L’Heure Bleue Deux is a buttery Iris with beautiful complexities. It opens with an iced cold pear sorbet garnished with course sea salt, fresh & breezy ambroxan and a gorgeous buttery Iris that’s velvety soft, which smooths the floral fruits. The neroli is more noticeable in the heart to me, it’s bright but tempered, not screechy or trying to steal the show. Everything is so wonderfully blended. As it settled on my skin the Guerlain vanilla warms up and radiates a sweet, feminine, ambery, musky, sensual orange blossom and marshmallow, salted base whilst the buttery iris continues to shine.

I think it’s a wonderful modern interpretation of the blue hour. It reminds me of a holiday evening meal, at a beech side restaurant, as the sun is setting. At times, there’s the slightest hint of sunscreen amongst the ozonic, a remnant of a wonderful day in the sun. But as the warm, sweet & sensual musky base pulls through, and you’re sipping on a vino and the sky turns navy just as the sun has set, the perfume is ready to take you onto the promise of a good night with your favourite, making memories from dusk til dawn, it’s soft sweetness lingering on.

I see that Delphine Jelk is named as the soul perfumer, but this scent reminds me of the Guerlain’s when Delphine and Thierry Wasser work together and create wonderfully balanced dark and light perfumes.

Very much looking forward to wearing this more.

I really don't see how this deserves the name of a perfume once made by Jacques Guerlain, then being respectfully reformulated as part of the 'Les Legendaires' line and now...?
What was this perfumer thinking? A new interpretation of the Blue Hour can maybe be called: 'The Blue hour according to Jelk' but certainly not 'L'Heure Bleue'.
This has got nothing to do with that melancholy feel, that sense of solitude that can come with dusk that Jacques Guerlain wanted to capture in a perfume.

The worst part of this is that it isn't even about reformulation due to restrictions, but just about it simply being a flanker which is why it should have been named otherwise imo.

As for the scent: Nothing that hasn't been made before. Another vanilla trying to be a freshy. And not even the vanilla we know from the famous Guerlinade, just the same vanilla as in... well you name them...
Sorry for being so harsh, but I really can't think of any reason why this is marketed the way it is.

This is a bad fragrance, and it isn't recognizable as a Guerlain at all. Guerlain's extensive marketing promised iris and vanilla, two ingredients that Guerlain can use to make magic. Unfortunately, with this fragrance Guerlain replaced magic with a fog of ambroxan, leaving the iris and vanilla struggling to stand out under the dominant smell of low tide. It's a nasty, unbalanced, artificial mess.

The fact that they gave it the name of a classic fragrance still in production makes it even more inexplicable.

It's beautiful! Simple, but beautiful! And this is coming from someone who is passionate about Guerlain. It isn’t a reinterpretation of the original perfume, it bears no resemblance to it, but rather a new interpretation of the "L'heure Bleue" concept, reflecting how the perfumer envisions the beauty of the "blue hour" in the sky, tailored for the Guerlain of our time.
Sensations I experienced: A light, fresh sea breeze, freshly washed clothes on the clothesline, creamy and airy Vanilla, elegant Iris.
