A very classy japanese amber...

Only for Him opens with a slightly synthetic cardamom vibe based on the bergamot and elemi mixing with the black pepper. Not sure how to categorize this one - sweet amber, spicy oriental? It's a superb balsamic oriental amber for sure, with hints of patchouli every now and then.

Through the drydown the cedar and guaiac wood mix incredibly well with the vanilla vibe from the benzoin. Longevity is through the roof on my sample, I get 10-12 hours easily which definitely must be some sign of quality materials used ?

This one makes me even more interested to see what kind of magic Cecile Zarokian has been working on the newer Jacques Fath line.

Fluffy blankets in the woodshed

Really cozy, that scent. Here I sit in a warm wooden shed wrapped in a fluffy woollen blanket, grained real wooden chairs all around, a table of the same kind and some good books around me, which I leaf through in a pleasant mood and read one or the other section They deal with fragrance art, wood species, aromatic grasses, ancient, long known balms and incense.
The silence in here is pleasant, the cold and wetness can do what they want outside.
Even if gusty wind would like to penetrate and thus cause a howl of rage, it cannot get in here. Fine fragrances intonate a soft, melodious whisper that penetrates deep into me.
They confirm what I look at in the books and read that scents can touch the soul and woods feel wonderful, with their warm colours and interesting grains can stimulate the imagination and smell wonderful. But there is still a whiff of last spring in the air, a little sniff of lily of the valley and jasmine and roses. When the doors were wide open to let in the spicy air.
Every now and then I briefly open the window for ventilation, only for so long that the room does not cool down.
The nearby forest and field send their fragrant autumn greetings in to me. Woody, slightly moist and mossy.
But the uncomfortable temperatures can't harm me. I've put the fluffy rug around me.
