Happy scent rating with Hilde Soliani :)
Since I am the only one who owns this fragrance, I guess I have no other choice but to comment on it :)
That was another one with which the dear Hilde really surprised me. She's always generous with specimens when you order from her. This way, you won't miss their novelties either. Anyway, it is always a pleasure to shop with her. Personal contact with the nose behind the fragrances is possible here, as she exchanges information with her customers via WhatsApp. And there was even a nice Christmas greeting this year, which I do not expect as a customer. Yes, I confess. I'm a fan!
2015 this one reached me and on the first taster I was blown away. Anyone who has read my blog "I'm looking for you" can understand this joy on my part, because in the nineties I was given a grandiose, ingenious men's fragrance, which I was addicted to and which I have unfortunately not been able to find again until today. Who's surprised? Many fragrances that are beautiful constantly disappear from the market and others are reformulated beyond recognition. In Hilde's Boun Pranzo I was able to catch a whiff of the fragrance composition so beloved at the time. In contrast to the fragrance of that time, which always had a strong drag, Boun Pranzo is however very delicate and rather close to the skin. One has the feeling, so to speak, that one has had contact with the wearer of this incredibly beautiful 90s fragrance. And a hint of it has stuck to the skin and clothing.
As far as the notes are concerned, Hilde unfortunately always makes it very difficult. Butter and pepper it is. On her website, the artist, who always has a penchant for haute cuisine, refers with Boun Pranzo to the breaking of bread by Pope Francis. A nice idea, but even that does not help to unravel the scents. So I simply try my luck, even if I still have a need to learn here. I perceive woody and balsamic notes. This could be labdanum, maybe some moss and towards the end something woody and sweetish. This note could come from the cedar, but maybe I smell a tiny bit of oud? The sweetness, on which the fragrance beds the rather green notes at the end, could come from amber or tonka. Mr. Pollito says, for him it would be nothing, too sweet for his nose and therefore rather feminine. I see!
I confess, it's a guessing game. But I hope I've brought the scent a little closer to you. Because he certainly does not deserve this terrible evaluation he has. He has his firm place in my heart! Even alone, since he always helps my memory back.
