Boss Bottled Night Hugo Boss 2010 Eau de Toilette

After reading some really bad comments about this fragrance, but after also learning that mainstream fragrances in general aren´t too well regarded here, I was delighted to receive a sample of Boss Bottled Night in order to make up my own opinion. I already like the day variant Boss Bottled for wearing in the office.

The night variant Boss Bottled Night starts with spicy sweetness, in which I believe to discern lavender. The note birch leaf probably stands for the freshness and this feels somehow accurate. On the other hand it reminds of an apple note and of a - very diluted - ginger note.

Then the sweetness fades a bit and a violet note appears. Also some woody notes, which I am not able to discern, as they are still dominated by the sweetness.

All in all, the fragrance I tested had nothing in common at all with a scent for the evening or for the night... This goad is not achieved, which isn´t too bad, as it does make a decent fragrance for everday use, e.g. for the office. Because of this, I am considering to buy it.

On my skin, the scent lasts medium.

This fragrance is one of my daily favorites... And I'm tired of reading unsustainable nonsense about it, criticized for exactly the same reasons that praise others.

Boss Bottled Night is simply one of the best of its kind, and probably the most personal of them all (talking about fragrances with "shower gel & clean" vibe).

Yes, this juice has all this and much more: BBN emanates a kind of mist around you, evoking a mysterious but neat cloud, decidedly charming and ideally nocturnal.

Longevity and projection are slightly above average and it's suitable for many occasions; definitely a perfect fragrance for business men and the office... But it shines when it shines: From dusk.

It has all the magic necessary to shine at night: The sharp and daring violet that cuts through the atmosphere and demands attention, an aura of mystery and neatness and its seductive musk that brings warmth and invites proximity.

Boss Bottled Night is the perfect scent for an executive stuck in a relaxed meeting after hours or who goes out for a drink at night with his colleagues after work:

Put a flawless young businessman in a modern dark suit; add a nice smile, a dusk, an attitude and a good setting...

Very clean floral, fresh woody scent. Smells 100% like a detergent, I can imagine wearing this to the office, it's absolutely ridicilous that this is set to be a night out fragrance.
At least it's pretty cheap so i guess it could work for some people.
Longevity is below average, sillage is pretty weak.

Bottled night is one of my first fragrances that I own (was a gift). It is a violet and lavender based fragrance, which I really like because I think floral fragrances are making a difference in the fragrance world that filled with amber-citrus “blue” bombs and vanilla based fragrances that smells just like many others. Top notes are lavender and birch, lavender is quite relaxing and leathery-smoky undertones from birch leaf is very interesting. In the middle, violet shines and it becomes quite floral and after-shave cologne like and in the base the fragrance turns out to be musky. Smell-wise it’s not perfect, but I do really appreciate it. Performance wise it’s a disappointment. You need to do a “ La Nuit De’L Homme edt 2024 Batch” spray routine to make others be able to smell it. Season wise it is suitable for summer and spring season and also suitable for every activity since the smell is very light and floral. Will lack the sweetness and spicy notes to be noticeable in winter and fall since it’s not potent. Price is ridiculously cheap, I saw a 45 euro price tag for 200 ml that you can shower yourself with fragrance and solve the performance issue. Smells good but overall lacking in terms of quality and performance.

From the beginning it smells like cheap toilet air freshener with weak woody notes, then it developes and smells like chemical violet with birch and some woody note. Musk note is disappointingly weak.
The smell is really masculine and loud, but the perfume is made so cheaply that it negates all the benefits.
