Nuit d'Issey Issey Miyake 2014

I wanted to like this so badly. Unfortunately this is just average in every single way. It’s pretty uninspiring and smells like so many other modern sweet masculine fragrances out there. It’s very heavy on the tonka bean on my skin. It just has that bubblegummy sweetness that so many other designers have with nothing to really make it stand out. Looking at the notes I thought this would be a lot more woody, leathery, and smoky than it actually is.

The one positive thing I can say about it is that the atomizer on the bottle is S Tier. You get such a nice big spray that distributes the fragrance nicely. It also lasts quite a long time for an EDT.

The good news is, you can find it for really cheap and if you are just looking for a fall or winter time fragrance that smells good enough for a good price, you won’t be sorely disappointed with Nuit D’Issey. If you are a fragrance person looking for something unique or game changing, I’d stay far away.
