A classic - perhaps the classic retro scent

I was able to acquire this little gem for about 13,- as a blind buy. Although the reviews here weren't very convincing, I was pleasantly surprised by the scent. If you're looking for a typical retro fragrance, you can go for this one: the strong sillage at the beginning might also be caused by the spray head, which seems to be a bit too generous with the liquid.

As already described here, you can expect a woody scent with a hint of hairspray vibes. However, it's still okay; with Jules by Dior, this was even more pronounced. In my opinion, the "One Man Show" fits somewhere between Jules, Polo, and Salvador Dali pour homme. I see Jacomo de Jacomo as having a distinctly different scent profile.

I am particularly enthusiastic about the clearly mossy scent that becomes more pronounced over time. Especially in the dry down, which unfortunately occurs after just 2-3 hours, a smoky-mossy chypre scent emerges. It radiates a certain warmth or intimacy.

Unfortunately, the whole magic was over for me after just about 5 hours, but for the price, you can certainly reapply more often ;-)

As a retro lover, I think it's quite fabulous too. But honestly, a 7.6 is a very good rating here.

It seems like old fragrances aren't really popular here. Do you have a tip for me on which retro scent I should try?
