Absolutely classic, elegant & feminine - finally, an original perfume that follows no trend!

An oriental flower garden with ylang-ylang.
A touch of sweetness from vanilla & tonka, but it is very subtle and not synthetic.
It becomes slightly creamy and very pleasant.
A well-balanced fragrance for a change.
I also think that the jasmine gives it a slight resemblance to J'adore Eau de Parfum.

La Favorite is such an easy everyday fragrance for me, one that you simply enjoy wearing. Sweet, soft, creamy and somehow well-groomed - my husband actually independently compared it to a body lotion, entirely separate from my own impression. And I had to laugh, because another review described exactly the same thing.

That sums up the fragrance pretty well for me: It smells lovely, clean and feminine, but not particularly extravagant or “Wow, what is that?!”. More like freshly moisturized, just with a hint of perfume.

For special occasions, I would probably reach for something with more character. For everyday wear, though, I think it works really well because it is so easygoing and doesn’t overwhelm anyone. A fragrance you don’t have to think about for long in the morning - just spray it on and you’re good to go.
Conclusion: Not a “Wow, I’ll never forget this” fragrance, but more of a “Mmmh, you smell good” fragrance. And sometimes that is exactly what makes it so pleasant.

I actually find La Favorite really beautiful. The longevity is good on me, while the sillage is rather moderate.

To me, it mainly smells like a really good, high-quality body lotion, very creamy, soft and well-groomed. I actually like that quite a lot. The musk, ylang-ylang and rose come through very well.

My only real drawback is the sweetness; personally, it is simply a touch too sweet for me, which is not necessarily surprising with Jean Paul Gaultier.

To be honest, I cannot really understand the comparison with J’adore by Dior, as I do not see much similarity there. To me, the two fragrances go in quite different directions.

Overall, though, I think La Favorite is well done. If it were a little less sweet for me, I would probably like it considerably more.

I ordered it from the Gaultier shop and it is always impressive how many gifts are included… it is always an experience-
There was a sample of the fragrance included and I cautiously tested it, and was so pleasantly surprised and satisfied in a way I had not expected.
The sweetness is not too sweet and the blossoms spread warmly and softly, but at the same time also very intensely…

Unfortunately, I'm not a woman of many words, and this is also my first review, but to me this fragrance is a fresher and perkier alternative to Dior J'adore EDP.

The jasmine comes across slightly sweet and nicely fruity, the rose also shows itself in a sweet way, and the vanilla gives the whole thing something delicate and soft.

Together, a really lovely composition that you can't go wrong with. An absolute crowd-pleaser and certainly a scent people would enjoy smelling in the office too.
The fragrance stays rather close to the skin, which makes it really lovely for everyday wear. Not too much, not too noticeable, simply understated, but beautiful.
