Rose Palace Jean Paul Gaultier 2026

I can’t quite decide on this one. The rose is excellent in the first few minutes. Deep rich earthy male leaning. As the fragrance settles the sesame starts coming through adding that familiar seed nutty flavour. That adds a richness base which over powers the rose for a while. While that happens (as well pointed out in a statement below) there is an odd sweet felt tip pen or nail polish accord. I found that does slowly fade for me as the rose slowly comes back in. I really can’t pick up any vetiver.
After it has fully dried down around thirty minutes later the sesame has faded and blended into the rose becoming almost imperceptible.
It has the same problem as the rest in the range. It isn’t special enough at the price and there are many better that can be found at a discount. If this gets discounted to £130/150 it could be worth consideration. If money is no issue Les Sables Roses would be my recommendation or if your willing to look for and wait for a deal Atomic Rose Eau de Parfum and Delina Eau de Parfum are vastly superior and can be found for £200-£230 for unisex and women. No to mention there an endless dupes on the market if that’s your thing.
This is one of the better if not best scent in the range.
