Bring him back!
2011 in my first year as a perfumer, I have already written a comment on this fragrance. A very short one, so I'm replacing it now. Unfortunately this fragrance has been discontinued for many years. Unfortunately and really wrongly. There is no real fragrance twin to this Man/Man Absolute. An independent fragrance with that certain something and lots of charm.
This fragrance entered my collection around 2008 or 2009, the beginning of my perfume passion. I remember the time well. Got money for Christmas and immediately went to the department store and bought me this scent spontaneously after a short test. A fragrance that I liked from the beginning and simply an absolute feel-good scent is for colder days. I still have half a bottle from before. Fortunately, even after more than 10 years, it has not yet been tilted and still smells the same.
What makes this fragrance special for me is that it is very multi-faceted and balanced and it simply has that certain something. It is very woody with lots of cedar. In addition, there is a very seductive powdery sweetness, which comes across as very noble and masculine. A lot of myrrh is also noticeable here and makes it beautifully spicy. Myrrh is one of my favourite notes in winter, which gives a nice balsamic sweet-spicy touch. Here too. Vetiver is written too small in the pyramid in my opinion. It's a concentrated load to smell. With fresh notes like sage, this fragrance never gets too heavy.
All in all for me a very sensual creation. For me there is absolutely no understatement like to read in comments and statements. You can wear this fragrance on dates without any problems. For me absolutely a fragrance with a well-groomed sensual appearance. It is also well wearable in everyday life or in the evening. A sure scent that you just have to like.
The Sillage is too badly rated for me here. You can certainly spray 2 sprayers more, but the Sillage is strongly perceptible as a carrier and also the shelf life is very decent with a minimum of 5-6 hours.
For me incomprehensible that this scent was discontinued. In the assortment of Jil Sander there are more insignificant fragrances that should have been more appropriate. But not many men's fragrances from Jil Sander have survived. Be nice if this one came back one day.
