The Sun Rises :-)
I have been using SUN by Jil Sander for what feels like 100 years, but I could never warm up to any variations of it (like SUN Delight or similar).
I got the SUNRISE here in the souk through a swap, and it arrived yesterday. To be honest, I didn't expect much from it, and I was all the more surprised when I took the bottle out of the package and first sniffed the spray button :-) I thought only: oh how beautiful !!!!
The scent is somewhat similar to SUN, but still different. It is not quite as heavy and sweet. The floral notes are underlaid with a warm spiciness, which makes SUNRISE something truly special! I can't quite put it into words, but it definitely has something very warm, sunny, and also creamy about it, which makes me feel very comfortable.
This morning, three colleagues immediately commented that I smell good and asked what fragrance it was :-)
I find the longevity perfectly fine, and it also holds up well on clothing.
It's really a shame that it's limited - there are still a few bottles on eBay. For now, I'm just glad that my bottle is still almost full :-) SUNRISE is truly wonderful, a really great fragrance!

I've been looking for a fragrance I had in the 90s for a long time. I received it as a gift, it was called Sunrise, and it looked similar to a Jil Sander Sun bottle-white with red lettering. It just said "Sunrise" on it. It smelled a bit like Sun, but different, like bubblegum, incredibly amazing. But this one came out in 2014, so it can't be the same. According to Google, that fragrance didn't even exist. Maybe it was a cheap, unknown dupe. It smelled a lot like Gaultier 2, but sweeter. Can the same be said about this one? Like Gaultier 2 but sweeter?
