Meow! Katy Perry 2011 Eau de Parfum

I find this to be a light version of Britney's Midnight Fantasy, as if the blueberries were taken out and replaced with pear.

I agree that the projection isn't much, and I don't really smell it on me unless I bring my wrist or the front of my shirt to my nose. I find Meow to be a comforting scent, and I wear it around the house to relax. It's a perfect perfume for the girl just starting out her fragrance collection.

Lovely, joyful, warm, buttered, fruit and citrus vanilla. Other reviewers find pear in the opening. I find it softly orange - tangerine is a note and it is not spicy but tangy, to cut the vanilla. Reminds me muchly of Gucci's Flora EDP in the warm orange. Strongly redolent of coconut although that isn't a listed note. Not a beachy coconut, but a sueded, cashmere, hazy, shimmering coconut. This is like a warm custard slice with a glazed orange finish and shaved coconut. Creamy warm vanilla, not sugary.
Trail is fairly quiet, almost, but not quite strong enough to be decent. Someone close to you might, in the first hour, get a whiff of this scent. Needs 3 - 4 sprays on each arm, neck, on hair. After an hour or two you just forget it's there unless you make a conscious effort to smell it. This is the worst aspect of the perfume, for me. The dry down is long lasting though, lasts overnight on me.
The bottle is cringe-worthy and belongs on a 6 year old's dressing table.

I must say I was at my local perfume shop when this first came out and I got my sample and literally fell in love ! This may not be my signature(fame lady gaga) but I Absolutely Love this cute little perfume ! It makes me want to go to the fun fair with its sweet girly nectar trapped inside !x personally it's lasting power is perfect for a day out, it's probably the only perfume I have that I agree with all the notes , you can smell them all it a good ratio

If you’re into gourmand perfumes, Meow is a gem, especially for its price. The pear note is juicy and upfront (fresh and fruity), and as it settles the vanilla comes through soft and creamy. It’s sweet without being overwhelming, so it works well even in an office setting. It’s definitely a safe blind buy if you like desserts-in-a-bottle or soft vanilla scents.

Pros:
• Very affordable for what it delivers.
• Sweet & gourmand yes, but not too cloying — good balance.
• Office-friendly: isn’t super loud, doesn’t scream for attention.
• Juicy pear opening gives it a nice freshness before the vanilla-cream kicks in.

Cons:
• Projection/sillage is modest - you’ll need a few sprays and maybe reapply if you want it to last all day.
• It’s not very unique - has similarities with other sweet pear/vanilla scents, so if you have a big collection you might already own something close.

Overall: Highly recommend for gourmands and vanilla lovers, especially on a budget. Works well for everyday wear and safe for blind buys.

Meow is not surprisingly a very sweet fragrance. It's almost gourmand in its approach, with syrupy, candied pears and light, fluffy vanilla being the most dominant notes.

It smells almost creamy on the skin, which is one of the best things about Katy Perry's Meow. It's not the most unique fragrance, but it certainly is pleasant. Although sweet, Meow is thankfully not sickly sweet, however with that being said, I would go easy on the sprays.

I made the mistake of spraying Meow a few too many times, and regretted having done so when the amber rich base finally emerged. When over-applied it has the tendency to become rather cloying on the skin, which can result in you smelling more like a walking candy store, than a pleasantly scented individual.

I found Meow to be a little similar to Beyonce's Pulse Summer Edition. It's the kind of fragrance that I would also feel comfortable wearing all year round.

While some people find Katy Perry's signature cat-shaped bottles tacky, I think they're adorable. I wouldn't have any qualms in displaying this bottle on my dresser.

The sillage is moderate to strong, and the lasting power is surprisingly good. Seeing that Meow has come down quite a lot in price since its release, I think it would make a great inexpensive gift for a young girl, or a nice addition to a sweet-lover's wardrobe.
