Again and again and again the same

Quentin bro, you are quite boring with the maritime notes and the akigalawood changes a little bit, man.

And on top of that, the leather in this is Tom Ford style, plastic, not soft like in the EDT, with which it shares a lot of kinship. The iris is there but it is not very noticeable either, it does not give at all that clean touch like in the Armani Code or that special touch like in the Prada.

It's worth the try it but, meh

On board an old sailing ship

Aquatic AND powdery - how is that possible? It's not without good reason that you ask yourself this question and yet Quentin Bisch has managed it. With a fragrance that focuses on opposites and yet creates harmony.

The Kenzo Homme Indigo is clearly a representative of the whole range: the DNA is special and quite unusual for the price segment in which it is found. All the fragrances remind me of a day by the sea. Only the location, weather and mood differ from fragrance to fragrance. Two extremes in the range: while the Kenzo Homme (Eau de Toilette Marine) with its present ylang-ylang note transports me to a beach in the tropics, I see myself next to a charred shipwreck on the stormy North Sea of Denmark with the Kenzo Homme Santal Marin.

The Kenzo Homme Indigo invites me onto an old sailing ship - a museum ship. Below deck, I find a powdery, almost dusty iris, which, together with the Akigalawood and the light sandalwood, leaves the impression of an old captain's cabin. There is an old leather armchair in the corner. Nothing is musty or rotten - the old wood is still completely intact. And the sea is not far away: a calm spring day on the Mediterranean. The "maritime notes" add a gentle, subtle sweetness. This really rounds off the fragrance.

Quentin Bisch has succeeded in composing a fragrance that is both extraordinary and very harmonious despite its individual components. And for anyone who thinks that they really don't want to smell like a museum ship in spring, try it out! It's fresh, invigorating and a really good daily - especially when the first rays of sunshine come out.

Welcome Back

This is Kenzo Edp, but not the Edp from the narrow bottle, but the version from 2016, which was only available for 3 years. So I'll keep the review short - it's all there already. Funnily enough, it gets a lot of flak there because it's compared to the 1991 edt version. But it's 100 percent a copy of the 2016 fragrance. It's now called Indigo. Ok. Smelled and smells quite good by the way :-)
