Isch 'abe no car at all!
To get in the mood, we all call to mind the look at this sentence. Because the fragrance is also a charmer! But before we fully turn to the geographical region given by the title, we quickly work through two others: The anise is more "coastal fog" than "ouzo" - it's cuter. And more pleasing, not so boozy on the head hit. Our anise floats on a kind of waxy-creamy sandal note, gently and completely infertile acidified by Meinetwegen bergamot. Even ambrosia seems conceivable to me. An early appearance of popcorn probably refers to incense (see below). So far, it's all slipping casually. Charming and Italian, somehow. At least in my northern German imagination. Hence the title.
Only a trace of canned milk opens the game with me seriously, so to speak. But it's a good way to tame the temper. Within a short period of time, especially mild, woody notes emerge from the sandal theme. In contrast, little more than a memory remains of the aniseed.
The performance of 'Rocca della Signoria' is now close to 'Mythical Woods', the form of sandelia that, turned to extremes, leads to 'Black Afgano'. Today, however, we do not go that far in the least, we stick to a relatively airy, yet creamy, sandal vanilla scent with a waxy swab; similarities to what has already been said are by no means coincidental.
The incense is rather an inkling or principle than a concrete component that can be scented. I therefore perceive it much more reservedly than the previous speaker Kovex does (by the way, also the noble donor of the sample - thank you very much!). I would also like to emphasize the bright, here almost whitish-dusty aspects that stand out from the creamy background.
In the afternoon, a strange mixture of undoubtedly woody behaviour on the one hand and a vanilla and sugary sweetness on the other, as it sometimes runs under "amber", comes along. Again it is of course wonderfully creamy and yet of a certain transparency, even airiness. Towards the evening we gradually glide into a solistically sandal vanilla conclusion that is as predictable as it is pleasant and successful.
Conclusion: Not completely my thing, but a top tip for friends of solid cream fragrances. Italian creamy and elegant as well as - I agree - perfectly wearable by gentlemen.
