A Parisian Affair La Fleur by Livvy 2013

When the Lilac Blooms Again
Whenever
the lilac blooms again
the cognac in my glass unfolds its amber hue
I remember
your golden scent on my skin
your skin of champaca and vanilla
How we walked hand in hand through the Tuileries
under a cloud-covered October sky
After love, arm in arm on the windowsill
the warm October sun shone on us
Your soft skin covered in my kisses
still echoes on my skin and warms me
when the lilac blooms
and the cognac in the glass swings its amber
my lips moisten, my nose is enchanted, my palate refreshed
I taste your kisses again and bury my face in the floral sweetness of your skin
With A Parisian Affair I get to know the scent of champaca. I read about the most expensive perfume in the world, made from its blossoms. I can imagine it, this scent glows amber and has a multi-layered floral sweetness. Cognac fits wonderfully, the lilac note as well, vanilla gives a dusty sweetness. Pine sounds in the background and makes itself known in my image of the Tuileries in October, providing a fuller tone and a delicate resinous note.
The theme of an affair in Paris is beautifully executed, it has a slightly wistful aspect, but remains a fulfilling, beautiful, and unforgettable memory.
Thanks to @FrauKirsche for the opportunity to immerse myself in this amber moment.
