Why You Should Wear This Fragrance on New Year's Eve!

Caution: Contains a bit of irony!

Are you currently planning your New Year's Eve party and want to make it a real blast? Then I’m afraid I can’t give you any advice, as I’m not planning to do that myself, but I do have a good tip for you:

You should wear Saffira on New Year's Eve because...

... this fragrance smells like "Erba Pura | XerJoff," which almost all your nouveau riche friends will wear on New Year's Eve, and with Saffira, you won’t stand out at all because it smells almost just as synthetic.

... this fragrance is a whopping 170 euros cheaper than Erba Pura, allowing you to buy another 20 to 25 La Rive fragrances - and they’re really not that bad, often even better than the originals, as they’re not so overpoweringly long-lasting, not so intense, and not so garish.

... this fragrance has been held up by nearly every influencer in front of the camera for about 11 years, so you really can’t go wrong even in its 12th year.

... this fragrance already has more than 300 reviews on Parfumo and several new ones are added daily, which clearly indicates that not everything has been said about this fragrance yet. So many users can’t be wrong, as they always say!

... there are currently almost 70 offers in the souk, which can only speak to the quality of the fragrance: Many users want to selflessly let you participate in this fragrance challenge! So go ahead and buy!

Jokes aside: Erba Pura isn’t that bad either, rather average, I think, but no one is asking me. I rated La Rive's Saffira with 6 points (average) because I can tolerate it quite well on others (the so-called annoyance factor), and that’s a measure of a certain quality: it doesn’t bother. And that could really be a good tip for New Year's Eve: Who wants 30 guests at their party, each one smelling more overpowering than the other?

My Scent, Your Scent!

I don't know who else enjoys the culinary TV show "My Local, Your Local" (for example, Mike Süsser & Robin Pietsch visit restaurants and their operators over the course of a week, who in turn visit each other - at the end, they are rated) but in a modified form, I have been inspired to create an olfactory version, and it remains somewhat culinary - at least regarding the theme: fruits - and I try to convey this in this review!

Initially, I would like to refer to a "short scent week" which has taken place after just 2 reviews with some time in between - for targeted individual perspectives, I recommend my reviews of Erba Pura and Extreme Passion - and to be fair, I don't want to make a direct final rating, but rather seek a touched comparison and categorize my respective enthusiasms to share with you.

This is somewhat a delicate topic - fruity scents are not necessarily subject to pleasure tax everywhere, and Erba Pura divides opinions threefold, if not more.
Nevertheless, I find it personally important to take on this challenge... I can't lose in this situation, but rather gain and challenge myself after a long review break with such a theme!

In short, Erba Pura is the fruit bomb and one spray is truly enough, while I perceive Extreme Passion as more elegant and reserved in character, even though it performs strongly (hence longevity & sillage 10 out of 10).
Now to Saffira, we are talking about a product from La Rive and a little digression: La Rive is like a surprise bag: some scents impress positively, some raise questions, another provides answers, and others are just okay!
From my perspective and on my skin, this one is a real statement with a Wow and a big exclamation mark!

Under €10 and yet this specimen does not need to hide from Xerjoff or Lorenzo Pazzaglia - why should it?

For me, it partially captures this DNA, but overall it is more relaxed - chilled to 100% relaxation - somewhat fruitier and not so overpowering.
H/S perfect for everyday use.
The scent character thus appears overall more balanced.
Allrounder at its best!

Perhaps to approach it in a more evaluative manner:

- Saffira, the allrounder for everyday
- Extreme Passion, the one for business meetings
- Erba Pura, fruit party tiger and let's go
I hope you find my categorization sensible.

Nevertheless, I am interested in your thoughts.

Positively surprised, fruity, long-lasting unisex bomb

After I built a designer collection & also collected some niche fragrances.
I have, after a long time and initial distance, come to create a drugstore collection.

I came across the great dupe brands La Rivre & Caline through Parfumo and treated myself to this fragrance as well.

Even though I couldn't determine whether the dupe of the popular "Erba Pura | XerJoff" is more suitable for women or men.
After testing the fragrance, I would classify Saffira as unisex, or how do you categorize the scent?

Saffira is available for 5-7€ in German drugstores, and since I don't have the hyped "Erba Pura | XerJoff," I can't draw a comparison on how similar or different the scents are. However, the DNA is said to be confusingly similar.

Overall, I want to keep it brief: Saffira is an interesting fragrance for me that I like to have in my collection and don't want to miss anymore.
A true fruit bomb, sweet, very fruity and vanillic, somewhat synthetic but not unpleasant or too overpowering.

I find the scent very beautiful & interesting and unique.

I enjoy smelling it, and since I found it here, I will forgo purchasing the hyped original.
Is it my favorite scent? It's not in my top 10 or anything, as I've been able to smell too many fragrances & also own too many. Nevertheless, I like it and really enjoy the scent notes :-)

Despite the tropical, fruity sweetness, I believe it is suitable for the whole year. It works well for everyday wear & could also become a signature scent for many fragrance lovers because it is very likable.

The longevity and intensity of Saffira really surprised me positively!
On clothing, it is still noticeable the next day, and for that, the fragrance clearly gets 10 points from me, as that is by no means a given!
I have had some expensive niche or designer fragrances that disappeared after a few hours or were not noticeable on the skin, which is unacceptable!
That's why I'm surprised at what the drugstore offers us in terms of quality for such a low price.

Anyone wanting to test fragrance notes or scents can't go wrong with LaRivre; I have already bought several fragrances & also gifted 2 men's fragrances to a friend.

Fragrant Double Whammy with Statement Character for Tight Budgets

Long-lasting, especially on clothing like sweaters, scarves, and jackets, it can still be smelled for days. It really has the essence of a true double whammy if you like this type of scent. Especially now in the cold season, it's quite fitting; the chill outside makes many fragrances linger sparingly. You can still smell Saffira three stalls away at the Christmas market, leaving behind a magical scent trail. It has signature character. In summer, the scent would completely overwhelm me, but in winter, I wear it up and down.

"You Smell Good - Is That Erba Pura?"

I get asked the question from the title often when I wear Saffira.
I haven't been in the perfume game for long, and I have never consciously smelled EP. However, since I get asked this question so often, I assume it comes very close to the original.

When I bought Saffira, I wasn't looking for a dupe for Xerjoff's original, but rather for a fragrance that smells fresh, is affordable, and that I can wear well in the office, one that doesn't clash but is pleasant (which can't be said for the other fragrances in my collection).
You receive compliments continuously despite the low selling price, from both genders, mind you.

For me, it's not a women's fragrance. I see it as unisex: also for men who are looking for a fresh, good scent for everyday use and don't want to spend 100, 200, 300€.

Longevity and sillage are very good - no, not very good for the price, but simply very good. I apply the perfume at 6:00 AM, and people around me still notice it in the early afternoon.

Conclusion: go for it.
