Sweet Velvet La Rive 2026

This perfume is clearly a La Bomba dupe. I actually wanted to buy the original at some point, but then I was given this perfume as a gift and have to use it up first, since it smells very similar. I think it might even be more of a crowd pleaser than the original, because there was some note in that one that made the perfume particularly special.
The original smells like dragon fruit, whereas here it is red currant. To me, though, it smells more like cherry. I don't really like cherry scents anymore, but this one somehow smells a little like cherry ice pop to me. That's why I think you can also wear it well in summer, even though it is so strong. Especially when first sprayed, it somehow comes across as cool and watery. Also somehow a little masculine. Later on, it becomes creamier and sweeter.
The longevity and sillage of this perfume are surprisingly really not bad. Especially at this price, I don't think you can really go wrong with this perfume.
I think the bottle is okay, but the price has to be reflected somewhere after all.

For me, sweet velvet is a really successful dupe of la bomba. The DNA is instantly recognizable: sweet, feminine, and incredibly seductive. It feels creamy, slightly fruity, and has that pleasant warmth that simply invites you to feel good. Of course, those who compare closely will find small differences - but for the price, the similarity is truly impressive.

I find Sweet Velvet to be very beautiful, fruity, and the scent lasts a long time. I can clearly perceive cherry, even though according to the fragrance pyramid there shouldn't be any. The cherry note runs throughout the entire scent progression. When I read through the fragrance pyramid, I wonder if it’s my skin or if my nose is playing tricks. Well, luckily Sweet Velvet is a well-crafted perfume and I generally really like cherry scents. I can't identify the other fragrance notes individually. In any case, the price-performance ratio is very good and I will definitely wear the perfume more often. I don't know La Bomba by Carolina Herrera.
