Instant LOVE

A woody, musky, earthy and yet somewhat feminine vetiver scent, which is hard to come by. The bottle is hefty and looks classy on the dresser. It's spicy like black pepper and smooth in the drydown like powdered sandalwood. I will often buy a perfume if the drydown is even better than the first few hours and Living Lalique has the most exquisite drydown on my skin. I tend to save this one for more special days. Vetiver has that 'no nonsense' effect and I love Living Lalique as a vetiver perfume. This is one of the smells that I consider sexy in the manner of someone who is confident and quietly goes after their goals.

A Scent with Superpow(d)er

This fragrance is one of my favorites.
I find it has a lot of power with plenty of powder and thus matches my taste.

If you are looking for a powdery scent that is not a grandma's closet fragrance, you must definitely try this.
Living Lalique unfolds very powerfully and immediately fills the room; after about 1 hour, the scent becomes very pleasantly soft. The vanilla is clearly detectable, but in a very subtle variant that is not intrusive and does not remind you of a dessert, but rather of a theater visit :-)

One day I `ll fly away

Today my friend had "freedom" because her "holder," or "supervisor," is otherwise occupied.

Of course, we enjoy our "bird freedom" - especially her - and we waste money and try on shoes until we drop.

That used to be our Friday pleasure - before his time.

In a mountain of shoes, she keeps talking about separation - and I listen patiently.

Then a shift to the English department store, where we both notice the beautiful Lalique packaging - or rather, the floating golden swallow catches our eye.

You can't test there - but I trust the appealing little box.
Some Laliques I find great - some are too harsh for me.
Well, we will see...

At home, I release the little swallow from its "cage," and a wonderfully soft, powdery scent envelops my nose.

The powderiness tends gently sweet towards marzipan - supported by light vanilla and soft cashmeran.
Nutmeg and pepper remain in the background - but they feel lively.

This golden bird is graceful - and sings of freedom.

My friend would like to stay longer - but receives a rude veto over the phone.

Of Ice and Warmth

Lalique and the bottles, that is a symbiosis as it should be. And that the bottles usually match the contained fragrances perfectly.
But for me, it’s not about the bottles (they are nice to look at, but I keep fragrances protected in their packaging anyway), but about the olfactory experience itself.
And here, "Living Lalique" has its peculiarities.
At first, it reminds me of an icy morning in December, when hoarfrost shimmers bluishly in the just risen sun.
I suspect that the combination of pepper, possibly "clove pepper"???, nutmeg, and iris is behind this effect.
Later on, as the fragrance develops, I slowly feel a pleasant warmth rising, melting the bluish ice, and a comforting winter sun bathes the day in gentle light.
In sheltered spots, I can then enjoy this afternoon warmth outside.
A subtle vanilla aroma then ushers in the evening in the warm room, incense sticks that smell of sandalwood and vanilla make the space even cozier.
And cashmere wood gives me an impression of a fireplace.
The scent is not exceptionally long-lasting, but I can still perceive it quite distinctly for five to six hours.
I have already noticed that I am a "wood type," these notes, and those of the iris linger particularly long with me.....

Encre Noire Pour Elle's name should be Living's. Vetiver like a warm shave cream. It's a pleasant smell.

Starts soapy... It reminded me of l'air du temps but the dry down is warm yet refreshing vétiver ... I like it overall.
