A trip to the English rose garden
First of all, I have to say that I find the design insanely beautiful. The elegant gold on the back paired with the floral elements as well as the simple shape of the flacon.... Simply stylish and a corner fancier than some others from my collection.
When spraying the fragrance spreads a rich rose scent, as if you would hold a bouquet with a wide variety of roses in your hand. Clearly perceptible is thus an authentic rose as it stands in the book, but with a refined spice, which comes along a little rough. The pepper gives something "edge".
The fragrance is feminine, but is definitely not a young, lively fragrance, but it seems adult and serious. He has certain parallels to Delina Exclusif of Parfums de Marly, but is much less sweet in the top note and is also not as complex.
A certain slight sweetness is added later on. I found this development wonderful as a little pastry lover. The drydown achieves a smell of fluffy, whipped buttercream with rose aroma. This must be the "Chantilly de rose" listed as a note by the manufacturer. If you type in "Chantilly de rose" in an image search, pictures of cute little cakes and luscious tarts adorned with roses sculpted from a piping nozzle appear. Trés délicieuse!
(Sometimes I think I'd be fine in a baking forum, too, but unfortunately professional feasting is not feasible for me figure-wise, so I'd rather stick to scent.)
Since this is my first scent that is more niche, my crowd-pleaser nose perceives a certain unconventionality, but because the scent blend is so special and high-end, I'll be wearing it at my wedding in the spring when the rose bushes are blooming in May.
The scent truly takes you on a journey. When you drag your eyes, it feels like you're on vacation, taking a dreamy stroll through a Victorian rose garden. At five o'clock you meet comfortably in the white-painted pavilion and drink some tea. Light pastries with rose cream are served with the Earl Grey with a shot of milk.
(Just getting a flashback to the Bridgerton series marathon. Anyone who also watched that on Netflix might know what I mean.)
