Nice scent, silly name!
Hello and welcome (once again… you know how it is…) to a new comment from your favorite, but unfortunately endlessly rambling commenter :D
Today I’m talking about the brand Maison Mona di Orio, of which I have only tested two fragrances so far, so the brand is rather unfamiliar to me. The scent I’m presenting here is called “Suède de Suède,” which sounds quite silly to me, as it would translate to either Sweden from/of Sweden or suede from/of suede. Of course, only if I’m not completely mistaken. You probably know a lot of my comments, so you know I’m not exactly a language genius :D
Since the fragrance contains wild or suede leather, I assume that “suède” refers to suede leather and not the country from which the now widely known climate activist Greta Thunberg hails (that is, Sweden :D), who not only sparks discussions about the climate but also sometimes ignites heated debates due to her “sitting on the ground in a train,”… well. It would surely be more interesting to know if Greta uses fragrances, for she is a vegan, so it’s rather unlikely that she uses “normal fragrances” :D
Oh yes, IKEA also comes from Sweden and… oh you see… I jump from one topic to the next, but I did tell you that I’m a chatterbox, right? :D
On the other hand, it could also be that I simply can’t think of anything to write about this fragrance here, he he.
But since I mentioned Greta earlier, I could endlessly talk and whine about how great it must be to be as young as she is, but since you are all just as old as I am, you can surely empathize with what I feel, maybe even more strongly, as some of you are probably older than I am… he he… okay, okay, I won’t delve into this topic and will rather get to the fragrance :D
The next thing that can be well detected is the leather, specifically the beautiful, soft suede, which I quite like compared to “normal” leather. Besides these main fragrance notes, I also perceive a bit of wood, some patchouli, and a light, oud-like note that quickly disappears again.
In the middle part, it continues to smell of soft suede with a now subdued pepper. The other mentioned fragrance notes also become weaker, with a small, gentle sweetness remaining. By the way, the background is now also great :D So I mean that you can now smell beaver musk and thus also a bit of animalic fragrance notes. Except for musk, I don’t usually like such animalic notes that much, but here these scents fit well with the suede fragrance.
From the base, you can still smell the leather notes very well. The pepper is now even weaker, while the woody notes become stronger, and you can now also recognize that it is cedarwood. The fragrance ultimately ends woody and leathery.
So, here we have a gentle leather fragrance with above-average sillage that smells good, and leather fans can take a look at it, even if it doesn’t come across as particularly spectacular to me. For me, it’s an everyday fragrance, mainly for daytime in the fall, and it is quite unisex. For the ladies, it’s not too leathery and woody, and for the gentlemen, it’s not too sweet and soft.
Well, you can test it or not, as it’s not a must for me. Interested parties won’t make a mistake if they let the fragrance touch their skin, but one shouldn’t order such a fragrance blindly (though I generally believe that one should never order a fragrance blindly :D).
Well, that brings me to the end, without rambling on further and then talking about things like comics, Star Wars, or the age of perfumes and so on… see, I can do that too! :)
Although the latest Star Wars film is now available, and I could surely tell you a lot about it, but don’t worry, I’ll stop for now :D
So then, have a nice evening and see you next time :)
PS: And sorry for the jokes about age. They are just jokes… so leave the torch and pitchfork in the cellar or something (incredible that you still have torches and pitchforks these days!!!)

The fragrance:
Pepper is the first thing you can smell here. But the pepper is neither sharp nor in any way off-putting, as it can sometimes be when it’s too strongly dosed. No, the pepper actually smells quite pleasant, which is also due to the nice, sweet scents radiating in the background that I can’t quite identify yet. The sweetness is initially slightly fruity, then more floral, possibly the osmanthus. The next thing that can be well detected is the leather, specifically the beautiful, soft suede, which I quite like compared to “normal” leather. Besides these main fragrance notes, I also perceive a bit of wood, some patchouli, and a light, oud-like note that quickly disappears again.

The sillage and longevity:
The sillage is initially moderate, but then fades slightly. You don’t have to get too close to smell the fragrance, but you can’t smell it from a distance. The longevity is quite good at about eight hours, more or less! The bottle:
The bottle is cylindrical and has a rather thick base. There is no label; instead, the name of the fragrance and the brand logo are printed directly on the front. At the top, there is a gold-plated plate, on which the spray head sits, and on top of that, a disc-shaped, gold-plated cap with an imprint of the brand name. For my taste, everything is a bit plain, but still okay.
