I was so looking forward to it and now I'm disappointed..

One of the fragrances I've been waiting for the most. After the huge hype, I couldn't wait to test the fragrance and what can I say? Well...
Unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations.
The beginning is absolutely confusing. Just as confusing as the fragrances are described:
Creamy, sweet, fresh, aquatic, gourmand - somehow it doesn't fit together.
When this confusion of scents calms down, the coconut comes into its own, but not for long. It quickly becomes extremely powdery; it must be the iris that is really stepping on the gas.
I hardly notice the vanilla and incense base notes.
The longevity is also very weak for me. A maximum of 4 hours. Sillage is also moderate.
It's not a bad fragrance at all, but to be completely honest, I don't think I'll be ordering this fragrance again...

I feel very similar, but I'll give the fragrance a few more chances. I ordered a 10 ml bottle from a non-German online store (the 100 ml bottle was not available) and thought at first that I had received the wrong perfume.
I find the fragrance composition itself very interesting, I really like the development from the slightly salty sea breeze to the sweet-floral coconut cream - even if the fragrance fades quickly after its transformation - supposedly. When I almost stopped noticing the fragrance myself around midday today (about four hours after applying it), I received a compliment from a friend. He noticed the fragrance clearly but unobtrusively and said "nice and summery, makes you want a cocktail".
Anyway, I'm going to get myself a 100ml bottle and give the fragrance the opportunity to give my summer this year a South Sea note :).

I felt the same way.
The anticipation was so great until I sprayed it on today. I hardly get any coconut in my nose. At most something sweet, slightly gourmand, slightly soapy. I am shocked and disappointed. This is not a real summer fragrance. The hype is completely out of thin air. It's better to test it before buying at the current exorbitant prices. The Wafa by Ard Al Zaafaran is from the same fragrance family, but less fresh and even more deliciously sweet and oriental, reminiscent of baklava in syrup.

I totally agree with you. I was also really looking forward to it and then this pure disappointment. Yes, it is different but the hype is not justified. However, I have found that Lattafa fragrances get better and better the longer they stand. Perhaps our batches still need to mature :-)

I also find it more of a heavy gourmand for cold days
