This top note is damn good

A couple of new Lattafa's have arrived, my first from the Niche Emarati range. This range is quite expensive by Lattafa standards. Most fragrances in this range cost 60€, some even 100€. Since most of the fragrances are already quite good and of high quality for the small price, you can imagine that you get a really good fragrance here. This Zikra is also available for around €40 per 100ml, which is a really good alternative for Angels' Share fans. It has a really high rating of 8.7, but has only been rated by just over 20 people. I am surprised that it is rather unknown. The fragrance from the same house under the Maison Alhambra brand seems to be much more popular.

Packaging is good as usual and also difficult to dispose of. You get a niche packaging to unfold. The packaging is quite large and also takes up a lot of space. Difficult to store if you have a large collection. The bottle is also quite pretty with the golden oriental pattern and this great lid. I like it very much. The weight of the fragrance is also quite high.
In terms of fragrance, this is of course a very clear Angels' Share clone. The top note is a blatant hit and even for advanced perfume connoisseurs, it's not so easy to tell the difference. What is immediately noticeable about this clone is that the Beastmode sillage of the original is nowhere near as good, which is not always a bad thing. It seems much dimmer, but by no means bad. According to the pyramid, it is also not a hidden clone. Exactly the same notes are listed here. Only Zikra has oak moss instead of oak wood.
The top note is already really good with this typical cognac note, which is complemented by cinnamon and tonka bean. This praline note also sets in early, just like the original. It is simply a great stylish sweetness with this pleasant wintery cognac-cinnamon mix. Those who like the top note of Kilian will certainly like this one too. After 3-4 hours, the fragrance drops off a little and becomes much weaker, where the original is much more powerful and remains at a fairly constant level. Nevertheless, the Zikra is worth it, as it can keep up quite well for many hours. The base is nowhere near as beautiful as the Kilian, but still clearly in the green zone. The base is a little woodier with sandalwood, which is joined by tonka, vanilla and praline. Kilian is much more linear and retains the DNA of the top note in the base. Nevertheless, Zikra is a well-rounded fragrance.
If you are looking for beastmode performance, you should go for the more expensive Kilian or more expensive clones. Khamrah would also be an alternative, although this does not necessarily meet the Angels Share. Sillage is pleasant in the first 3-4 hours, then gets closer to the skin. It's okay, although there is much more to the fragrance notes. Longevity is also okay. This is a great fragrance, especially for in-between times.

I clearly prefer the original, of course, but for this price this is a great thing. Of course, this Zikra doesn't come close to the perfect original, but I can warmly recommend it for those on a budget and as a supplement to the original.

Very good analysis in comparative format. There is no better way to get to the heart of the matter.
