Amateur Nose

The first moment: oh no, Angel.. I just don't like Angel. For my amateur nose, it is not a gourmand, and what so many perfume lovers can smell in Angel completely eludes me.
My nose only picks up Fenjala bath pearls from my childhood. Neither chocolate, nor caramel, nor cotton candy.
However, once the initial Angel shock wears off, Crème de Pistache transforms into an incredibly complex gourmand fragrance, from which Angel could take a thick slice, in my opinion.
I smell pistachios, almonds, chocolate, and vanilla.. all very distinct, not a homogeneous mush, not made unrecognizable.
Hazelnuts, lightly roasted and sugared.. no, caramelized.
But here too, the dose makes the poison: a single spray promises hours of olfactory pleasure without becoming overwhelming or annoying.
Weeks ago, one of my scarves got a spritz of it and still smells of it today.
Crème de Pistache has everything a good gourmand needs, and my amateur nose is reconciled.

I absolutely don't like Angel either. It's completely overwhelming and intrusive, not my thing at all.

"...what so many perfume lovers can smell out of Angel completely escapes me" - I totally agree. It's just awful. But the one from Laura, I think, would be worth a try :o)

I have a similar clumsy nose and can't detect anything chocolatey in Angel either. This one is definitely going on my wishlist.
