Promising Vanilla Dream
This scent is probably the best creamy and sweet vanilla perfume I have tried so far. It is similar to the vanilla used in Comptoir Sud Pacifique without the synthetic edge. I love it more than the expensive vanilla scents I've tried. However, the lasting power and sillage are minimal. This is true for all the similar vanilla perfumes that smell great but are not worth the purchase of a full bottle. Laurence Dumont (Senteurs Gourmandes) is another such brand.
Note Vanillee is not creamy, SDV sometimes smells like olives on me, Vanille Charnelle is too grown up, Boise de Vanille is too woody, Vanitas is too sugary, L de Lolita is too burnt, etc. etc. If Laura Mercier's Vanilla was sold in pure parfum strength, my vanilla search would be over.
