Love it, or hate it! This motto seems to be the order of the day here.
As you can see from my rating, I am not really taken with this musk variant.
I actually wouldn't find the basic idea bad, as FPdM has a well-intentioned, herb-soapy floral note, but the execution is completely off.
Something about this scent does not fit with the flowers. Even in the top note, this fragrance comes across as very cumbersome. The soapiness leaves almost a dull feeling on the tongue, as if one had licked directly on a bar of soap.
With the heart note, a bitter-musty undertone develops, and the flowers on my skin refuse to become powdery, instead leaning more towards extreme wilting. Do you know that strange smell when flowers have long passed their peak in the vase and their heads are drooping towards death? Exactly such a strange odor surrounds me in the heart note.
The hint of transience remains even next to the unmotivated musk note in the base, and I now feel like a compost heap in the Ohlsdorf Cemetery.
FPdM is just a bit too morbid for me, as I do not want to smell like an unkempt grave.
Yeah - it's really awful. No, not because of my skin - it smells just as rotten on paper. I threw away my sample; I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemies.
