I noticed this fragrance when I took a look at our flop list. Well, I can understand why the other candidates were passed over, but this brand does have fragrances that I like, so I became curious.
Admittedly, Frans' comparison to bad breath made me hesitate a bit, but nothing happened. Neither human nor any other stench rose from my skin.
I can relate more to Ergos' comparison with wilting flowers. A bit morbid, or let's say better, melancholic, Fleur Boudrée de Musc is for me as well. However, I don't find it really unpleasant. The fragrance doesn't become particularly powdery for me over time; I perceive it more as floral-soapy. At this stage, the scent even has something appealing, at least for someone who doesn't always seek cheerfulness, zest for life, and eroticism in the character of a perfume.
However, the base does bother me a bit, as I find it unbalanced, almost a bit musty, and thus the fragrance leaves me disappointed.
Well, I don't need Fleur Poudrée de Musc, and the name might be poorly chosen as it raises different expectations, but it's really not so bad that it has to land in the flops. I know much worse candidates.
I told you so. And maybe I'm just lucky, but on my skin it doesn't turn wilted, musty, or creepy in any way - the reason I wear it so rarely is solely because of the strong competition, ;-).
